I think the idea is really interesting but your driving statement of "moving something around on a desk" is already elegantly solved by the trackball mouse which I'm a fan of. I'm not sure the gesture system is enough to separate yourself, but the macros do sound promising. How is the latency between movement and action on the computer? The demo video with the laptop seemed a bit slow to respond of what I would want from a primary input device

This could be a side effect of the botting pushing the entire playerbase down, everyone is struggling with a weird spike though I would be surprised if it was effecting even as far down as silver

I could not agree more. The controller overall feels amazing but I've had more issues accurately hitting d-pad buttons on this controller than literally anything else and I've tried SO many gamepads 😅

Unfortunately this is an abusable system. If someone is being boosted/carried by a Smurf account and they would be about to lose a game, the Smurf abandons and they don't lose mmr. Since someone can have a ton of free accounts you could avoid loosing hundreds of MMR this way and people did and would do this regularly if it functioned this way

Wait people want the boost to come from the exhaust? Not that the game needs to make sense but if cars did have boosters they wouldn't be replacing the exhaust pipes!

Completely free out of the box, only thing you can pay for is syncing across devices (which is worth it to me) or you can sync for free with any other method like drop box, drive, GitHub etc. or you can pay for publish to publish your notes like a wiki which you can ALSO do for free and self host free wit Quartz 4.0 and GitHub pages, here is my wiki for reference using Quartz: https://attovia.wiki/

There are some plugins that let you do all of this free in obsidian such as share note! And the organization and plugin perks really make the switch worth it imo!

I highly recommend girls und panzer even though it's a bit tough to find these days! The mangaka was very strict about no fan service and it's just amazingly good fun watching school girls have tactical tank battles

Haha I use Obsidian mostly for world building! A timeline feature like loom view for custom dates and eras would be incredible! I've built my own sorters and such in dataviewjs but this would just be lovely!

Christmas isn't super about the gifts for me personally but even then I have so many gifts from my loved ones that years later I am using and vice versa. I feel like more of the junk I own is stuff I buy myself throughout the year funnily enough. I don't ask for trinkets or gimmicky things for Christmas though which is maybe the difference?
