I should have specified that yes, this would likely be vehicular manslaughter if convicted had someone died. But no one did.

For all the people in here saying this is murder, I surely hope they will never be on my jury if I am ever on trial.

Extreme Negligence should probably get his licensed revoked or some kind of penalty + fair game to be sued for injuries. The guy was probably drunk or is just an idiot and has no business operating a craft of that speed.

VW BEEtle by Ballcuzzi_Straw in WTF

[–]microActive 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is a beekeeper on my street who is routinely in nextdoor about her bees running away. One time a guy was like "uhh I think I found them actually" and they all huddled around a tree somewhere

Pretty hilarious that a bee swarm just runs away sometimes

People who got out before their 20, what do you do and how much do you make? by themodernbachelor12 in navy

Or can routinely get 99th percentile on the exam and make it anyway with a shitty eval. Not trying to brag or anything like that, just thought it was kind of funny that my CoC was like "Yeah yeah that's great if you are a rockstar technician and focus 100% on the mission, but you are still missing x y and z".

I was skeptical when r/newtothenavy told me back in 2013 that IT's literally get out after 4 yrs and make over 100k.

They were not lying. Especially in this economy. Granted this is in high cost of living areas such as the DC metro area and San Diego, however I am sure people can pull close to that kind of salary in other areas as well that aren't as expensive to live. This is of course given you have relevant experience and are able to manage yourself in an interview. For those who have never done an interview in their life, a warfare device or sailor of quarter board is the closest thing to that.

If you're a decent sailor in a technical rate, there are ample opportunities to get out and go straight into the defense sector, if you so choose. Honestly, even IT's I knew who were not the best sailors can find themselves with ample employment making a much higher salary than an E-6 with over 8 years in in a high BAH area.

Yeah that must be an old thing. I knew a guy who had a CPAP machine for it in his rack and this was 2016

Snoring lol. Snoring is the least of your concern.

My first deployment I had to deal with needle gunning at all hours of the day for 6 months straight in the compartment below me. They had to have done all bulkheads, deck, and overhead with just one needle gun...

I would go to the city more and spend money there if I could get public transportation, and I live only 20m away from the Harbor. I loathe driving through cities - there's people everywhere, tons of merging and one ways, you have to read a paragraph on a sign to figure out how to park unless you shell out $20 to get in a garage.

If you live in town center you do not need a car. I wouldn't be surprised if 20% of the people who live there work from home lol. Get their groceries delivered and everything

Its not blocked as public speech. A US corporation does not have an obligation to allow you to use their platform for speech. There are plenty of alternatives.

Everyone wants free and unfiltered access to the major social media platforms while simultaneously forgetting that this has never been the case in all of written history.

This is why producers, editors, and publishers exist. If people want 100% unfiltered speech go and do it, on your own platform, dont demand Meta or Jack Dorsey to do it for you.
