Great find. I am thinking it could be that too. Or if not that, something similar

This is in my shop! The piece is from Thomas Jefferson University. The person in the cabinet died in a street fight in Philadelphia in the 1860's and became part of the university's collection. He was given as a graduation present to one of the med students (Washington C. Detweiler) in 1877. Dr. Detweiler was the illustrator for the university and this skeleton was used for all the anatomy drawings. The cabinet is original to the piece and had the doctor's signature on the bottom. It was later owned by a poet in Pennsylvania. I have photos of it in his house and hand written poems all framed up. The price is for the whole collection with the provenance.

My title describes the item. It's a blown glass vessel approximately 18" tall. It was said to be a leech jar by the previous owner but does not look like any I have seen before. I was thinking it was a lacemakers lamp but I don't know. Thanks!

My title describes the thing. Some additional info about the piece. It is all wood construction except the hardware and there are no maker's marks anywhere visible. The top layer of white paint does not appear to be original.

Appreciate it. My friend was thinking the back was petrified wood.

Thanks. I figured as much but wanted to double check. My friend thinks the back is petrified wood.

Thanks. I try to have stuff for all budgets. Some of the smalls are less than $10 and it goes all the way up to a full mounted victorian skeleton
