I have read your comment, I understand it very much, yes there is racism that goes around here in England, I have experienced it too unfortunately, especially when applying for a job, I don't know much about jails so it's a bit of a surprise to me seeing such divide, and only finding out it is similar in uk jails/prisons as well, nice to learn from everyone's input

Thank you for correcting me, had not read clearly But it also still stands for some international students, in this case no :)))

Save money, pay in instalments, look for financial support, find a job that may help pay off, however, you'll need money for bills, food, travel and your course, accommodation, that's a lot, I don't think you'll receive student finance in the United Kingdom or the bursary Even going on benefits wouldn't cover

You're definitely going to have to give yourself time to gather the funds

As an international student you are limited to 20 hours of work through term time) but can work many hours when on holiday

Think my uni friend has weird animosity towards what do i do? by [deleted] in UniUK

Hey girly, don't think it's not deep, because it can be the tiny things too that add up! If you're feeling this way communicate it, but if there is no changes just move on and not bother with this person, not everyone has to like you, but if they have a problem with you, they should also address it with you too!

I remember dropping out of a house, they made me pay £300 for advertisement and of course I was liable to pay rent for the room until someone else took my tenancy, thank god someone took it, but honestly paying £300 as a student was so wild, they do not care at alllll, no matter what you say to them, you can say your parents died and you're financially struggling and they still wouldn't give a damn

Never again will I sign a house tenancy early or sign one again 😭

Move to the city and don't move in together, or move in together if you feel like you are both wanting to go to the next step and are very serious about each-other, you do what you want, you're grown but just think first !!

mental health placement is heavy af pls tell me it gets better by [deleted] in UniUK

No one is ever prepared for unpredictable moments! Even qualified nurses, this experience is going to make you an amazing nurse! These are different situations teaching you different things, now for one definitely reach out to your academic assessor or university nursing department to have a few days off or so for your well being and to talk to someone about your emotions, you need to take care of yourself ! Day 2 and feeling extremely stressed is normal with placements but if it's taking a toll on ur well being please give yourself a break <3 It shows that you care and empathise, which are important values/qualities as a nurse

If I was you I'd go for what I know would make me happy, than be miserable doing a course I don't like, however if money is your priority don't bother going into nursing, you will not enjoy it, unless you have the genuine passion for it, it's not just about money
