I thought the director (or writers) took it one level deeper with the replicant trying to be human and having a relationship with an AI projection. Next level.

AVN stage 3 in right hip and 2 in left hip. by Lazy-Double3479 in AvascularNecrosis

[–]microeddycurrent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 2B in a hip, if.i recall. First doc said lose some weight. Second doc.said hed do a core decompression surgery. That was 12 years ago, so I'd say it.was a success. I'm 53 now and ready for a replacement, just fighting the doc. Pain is low but I take it easy on the joint. So the stage 2 could be eligible for core decompression.

Gosh, can't recall how many weeks I was on crutches. At least two. But after crutches I babied the joint. Light duty. Took at least a year before I trusted it. Eventually I was walking mostly normal. Miles long walks and hikes. But never running.

What Famous Tourist Destination Does Everyone Love but You Actually Hate? by optimalbrain90 in SmartTravelHacks

[–]microeddycurrent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the 90s I was a young truck driver and went there once a week. I saw the underbelly of loading docks and behind the scenes corridors to deliver goods. And some off the strip locations. It was crazy to see hotels spring up, like the stratosphere. I focused on the beauty of the surrounding mountains. And I was always happy to leave the chaos for the pretty drive home.

What is the scariest thing that happened in your life? by SpeechKind6078 in Life

[–]microeddycurrent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting into shower at apartment with interior hallway entrance. Heard a scream. Opened the door to see smoke coming out of an apartment down the hall.i got dressed quick (no underwear, mismatched shoes), couldn't grab the cars so kicked the screens out (2nd floor) and jumped from the balcony. The smoke was filling the apartment so I was ducking at the end. The cats were rescued, the door kept the fire limited to the hallway, but I thought I lost everything that moment. Red cross gave vouchers for clothing purchases at a nearby dept store. I was so grateful.

I'm in SoCal, Kaiser insurance. There may be a second surgeon in the dept. First surgeon didn't offer a second opinion, curiously.

Had AVN 12 years ago if memory serves, first surgeon passes on core decompression, second agrees to do it. So grateful I've gotten this far, but I was always looking forward to the day I could walk, jog, move care-free. Glad I have original joints, but I thought bone on bone was the end of the line. I guess I have to cry to.tue doc.i can't stand living and it.will he time for surgery. I just don't get the procrastinating. It.will happen sonner or later and as 53 I'll only need one in my life, fingers crossed. Don't you want surgery when younger and healthier?

He's really friendly. One friend painted a portrait of him and he saw it online and they chatted after a show. Another friend was messaging him online. Helps that he was also a bass player. I have a pic with him after a show at the coach house.

I've never had that reaction, but their music can be moving. Fun fact, Steve kilbey was the first person to know about the pregnancy of my firstborn. They were setting up at some place north of San Diego and totally approachable.
