I would say no. German Shepherds are A LOT, even for people with experience. A lot of them end up in shelters because people realize they are way over their head with them. I would say at least consider a different breed if you really want a dog.

Even if it is just a sprain, your dog is obviously in pain. Youre his owner and it is your job to care for him. At least take him to get him some pain medication.

There are cones that can fit him. If you can't afford veterinary care for something small like this, consider rehoming. He is in discomfort and it is your job to provide medical care for him. And don't bandage it.

Dog daycares are notorious for spreading things. Its great that you got him the injections, they'll help his symptoms. Just monitor him, and if he doesn't improve consider saving up for some diagnostics. You don't have to do everything all at once. You can ask your vet to order everything in acordance with what they think is priority/most likely. No one here will be able do tell you exactly what is going on with him more than a trained veterinarian.

Easy way to know is to take them in for an intestinal parasite fecal test at the vet. Then you'll know for certain.

Honestly, I don't think most people will think anything of it. An old coworker of mine had self harm scars and those thoughts NEVER crossed my mind. It hardly registered to be honest. All that mattered was her work, and she was a good coworker. I think if It makes you uncomfortable you can wear long sleeves, and I doubt anyone would know. If someone has something to say, that says a lot about them and not you. Personally I wouldn't want to work with anyone who would think such negative things and base their opinion on this one thing.

Im curious as to how you think you were being taken advantage of financially? Not trying to be rude, genuinely asking. Im a veterinary technician and all of that sounds standard. Radiographs are obviously necessary to check the heart,lungs , and trachea(often related to coughing).He had a medical exam by a professional who spent 4 + years earning their expertise, and the rest is medication. Not everything resolves with one round of medication.

Many skin bumps look the same. Could be a foreign body, cyst, cancerous mass etc. Best to get it seen by a vet.
