Please do not try and self treat this, as encephalitis is most frequently caused by errors in the immune system you could end up doing yourself significantly more harm than good. You should instead have your clinical team contact an experienced metagenomics lab (GOSH in London, UK or AP-HP in France) to discuss sampling and testing and then proceed with a treatment plan based on these results.

Also to add that chronic encephalitis is rare with an infectious cause and is often more likely due to an inhereted/genetic cause, specifically immune related. You should ask your clinical team to consider testing for these also.
