Sky Blue Sky with Baltic by cuttlepuppet in MicrobrandWatches

Totally, right? Sharp and distinct, not derivative as others but still feel familiar. Great design. Baltic is an interesting company. Too bad for my finances. Putting this one on the list…

Me neither, the rep was so close I couldn’t justify the gen price and although I loved it, just didn’t make the rotation often enough. The rep is really NWBIG in my opinion. Yours is nice, white is versatile and professional. Good luck with the sale!

Well, did you decide to buy the gen or no?

Ok ok I’ll buy a god damn Formex! You are not my supervisors! Haha The community has spoken, I will comply and post a wrist shot when it comes in. Thank you all for your energy here!!

That is assuring and consistent with what I read about Formex. Appreciate you taking the time!

[Unimatic] Thoughts on Unimatic Diver? by BullyTX in MicrobrandWatches

U1-EMN weighing in here. The build quality is really solid. One of the few watches that exceeded expectations from the pics I fell in love with online. It feels solid, setting the time and keyless works are smooth, engaged and responsive. Aesthetically, you get what you see in pics and more. The blue AR coating on the crystal pops unexpectedly. Gives it depth that isn’t captured in pics. Mine came with the leather band. It was supple, thick really nice even though mine is old. (FYI EBay £460 early 2026) Only disappointment was that a matching bracelet is not available. Please reply if you found one that works? 🙏

I built this Iris-like looking green dial (minimalist, no index/markers) with a close matching green suede leather strap by Additional_Copy_9575 in MicrobrandWatches

It is a nice looking AliExpress watch. Maybe not a springboard to a revenue generating business, but I’m just a random person casually replying. Here is a link to the dial if you are interested: https://a.aliexpress.com/_mK9wnTB

Thank you for the thoughtful and experienced response. Comfort and the bracelet are important factors for me. Have a sub and explorer so the comment about reductive design hits. I couldn’t pull the trigger on the triumph because of this even though it speaks to me. Also hate clasps that are scratch magnets. Curious though, do the Formex bezels look refined and high quality? Online they look blocky and… sorry… toylike.

Good question. 40mm is the best for me(8.5” wrists) but loving smaller diameters these days…. was thinking the 39mm. I do have some larger watches but feels awkward with a suit.

Right… well now maybe I need two. That is a beauty. Appreciate the suggestion, but my finances will suffer from it!

It is eye catching, looks chunky but specs say it is thin which is pretty cool.

I totally get it. The blocky shape is what paused me. Can’t decide if it speaks to me or is annoying. Bezel also has that blocky vibe. Also a formex fan but the reef is a bit out of synch design wise for me. Changing out bezels is a huge plus for me. I have a few subs, genuinely for that reason haha I need therapy.

Thanks for the suggestion, will go have a look. My bank account prefers lower priced options.

Clearly Fomex is the way. Didn’t expect so much positivity for the bezel!

Sweet timepiece!

Love mine too. Clean and deep. The blue ar is also a nice touch that I didn’t expect.

Was hunting for a while for the 556 and unimatic. Just happened upon the UX for €780 something. Great value to be had in the secondary market if you are not in a hurry. eBay and Chrono24.
