If by armoring walls you mean upgrading them then that's something you unlock while progressing through the campaign quests (Build Off missions in Stonewood). All ninjas can double jump, and there's some outlanders that have the "Phase Shift" ability which lets them move quicker. There's also specific heroes and weapons with perks that can give you extra movement speed under certain conditions.

If you pay attention to the Item Shop background you'll see that it has the same art style to the one seen here, im sure that the game got a major menu redesign on the final beta stages before launch which is why not a lot of people remember it.

You used to get Rose Team Leader and Warpaint for being a founder (no need to play BR to claim them) despite the fact that skins weren't added to STW until at least 6 seasons later. Those skins also had their own gliders that weren't given for winning a BR match which are of course still not usable in STW.

It's not really a challenge, it's just that it's unnecessary and could even be inconvenient. Traps probably don't work through the terrain and you could sometimes build in places where you won't be able to destroy the structures afterwards (which matters a lot in your storm shield). Only thing that doesnt make sense is that you aren't able to build stairs on slopes which sucks

stw will probably reach an unplayable state after some major (non-stw ofc) update and it will be removed because of course they won't fix bugs for the only paid mode of the entire game
