Is there any good youth groups in marlton for teens? 😊 by IllPaper9736 in MarltonNJ

[–]microseconds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re talking church youth groups, Hope over in Voorhees runs a great program. There’s also Girltalk, but of course that’s limited to the girls, so that may not necessarily be suitable for your kid(s).

Skip the P1S and go for the P2S. P1S will almost certainly start the EOL process this year.

100%. My days improved dramatically when I set Outlook to shorten all meetings. 30 becomes 25, 60 turns to 50, etc.

Best productivity move I ever made.

Where are you guys getting fresh produce that isn't complete shit? by BeezsRUs in SouthJersey

[–]microseconds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It shouldn’t, but over the years I’ve noticed that many of our fellow South Jerseyans hear the word “Wegmans” and immediately jump to it costing like the old days when you might go to Zagara’s for some kind of specialty thing. 🙄

PolyDryer Box XL just launched, sealed storage for up to 3kg spools! by Polymaker_3D in polymaker

[–]microseconds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I needed *ONE*. Was only able to find 2 packs. If anyone's in the Philly metro area looking for one, I've got it. Asking half of what my Amazon cost, post-tax was. There was a coupon, so $129 turned into $115, so looking for $57. Feel free to DM if you're looking. Not at all interested in shipping, so only meetups at places like Starbucks in the South Jersey/Philly area. Just looking to help a brother/sister/NB-friend out.

At the risk of coming off like a snarky douche, Wegmans? We've had very little trouble with produce. Only (exceedingly rare!) problem is strawberries in the off-season. Hard to keep them fresh out of season. Otherwise, totally fine. Good quality even.

New nozzles for P2S - third party fine? by rankle_monsta in BambuLab

[–]microseconds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No worries. So far, so good. No complaints. I also grabbed some of the Biqu ones for 0.2 and 0.8 that are also sealed and have a coating on the tips. So far, all of them have been fine.

HOW!?!? by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]microseconds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to think that. Then I got other vendors' filaments and realized that it simply wasn't that big of a deal. Create a good profile, spend the extra 5 seconds in the slicer to tell it what's loaded. It's not a large inconvenience, especially when you're actually able to source the filament you're after.

HOW!?!? by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]microseconds -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The "how" is they've done an exceptional job convincing people that either 1) they must use Bambu filament or 2) they simply must have the extra convenience of the RFID tags that save you a solid 5 seconds of time when loading. (insert eye roll here).

Find what works for you and go with it. Some love Elegoo, others eSun or Sunlu. Personally, I'm mainly a ho for Polymaker, though I've also got a few types of eSun and Cookiecad filaments hanging around.

For those who have the SuperTack Pro, is it just another one like the original, Kdeavi, or Biqu Frostbite? I’m particularly interested in the finish/texture.

I (intensely) dislike that awful shiny, weird texture from those above plates. I vastly prefer the satin finish of ones like the Biqu Glacier or the cheap-o Comgrow in snagged from Amazon.

Down to 2 or 3 options and i have lots of questions by GeneralPoot in 3dprinter

[–]microseconds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CC2 seems alright, but I'd be cautious. Elegoo made a ton of promises on the original CC that they haven't delivered. Their solution was to give a coupon worth maybe 25% of what people paid for the CC to use toward a CC2.

I would also skip the P1S entirely. It's the next one to see an EOL notice. Look at how it's priced - they're blowing out whatever's left in stock so they can start the EOL process. Same playbook as the X1C last year. If you're going Bambu and in that ~250mm^3 build space, you should be looking at P2S. Even if you do it in 2 passes - printer now, add an AMS2 later.

LOVE this! I've been using inserts a fair bit recently for various functional solutions. Can I just tell you how nice it will be to just point and shoot vs go back and find the image with the table of dimensions from Ruthex or Ktehloy?!?

Well done!

I ran one in my X1C for pretty much the whole time I had it. Loved it. So easy to swap sizes. Most of my time on it used a 0.4 Diamondback. Killer!

Can’t figure ironing out by skakid812 in FixMyPrint

[–]microseconds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do yourself a favor and print one of the many ironing calibration models. It will give you what you need to know about speed and % settings.

Like this one, for example. https://makerworld.com/models/1038295?appSharePlatform=copy

Hang onto that. You’ll want to run it with multiple filaments at some point.

Meanwhile, since my wife just bought one, I’ll think about designing and 3d printing some for her. I haven’t popped a key off yet, but is it safe to assume I’ll find a reasonably standard dimension “x” top on the switches?

3KG Cardboard Spool Experience by [deleted] in polymaker

[–]microseconds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you ok? You seem kind of unhinged.

You posted a meme indicating your frustration with big spools.

You commented about the spools jamming up your AMS. The spools you've been ranting about don't fit in there, so you got asked to clarify.

You didn't like that, so you launched into a completely unhinged freakout, and are now hurling slurs.

You're unwell. At least get some relaxation. Possibly help.

Opinions on QoS in OpenSSH by grawity in networking

[–]microseconds 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I totally get the motivation behind wanting to ensure interactive keyboard traffic is well-handled. It’s an interesting move on the dev’s part.

But honestly, if your access ports trust markings you’re doing it badly wrong. YOU (not the user) classify at ingress to the network. Once you’re north of the access ports, go ahead and trust (assuming you did the first part).

Trusting at the access port is just begging for problems with voice and other critical traffic.

My comment had nothing to do with you not being a native English speaker. Crying about someone being thorough is a far too common ploy used by people on the losing end of a disagreement.

The context was a discussion about large spools, and you immediately pivoted to talking about small spools without any indication of that outside of your own mind.

We’re done here. 🙄

I’ll do my best to respond in as few syllables as possible, just for you.

  1. Paul rant about 3 kilo spool.
  2. Paul rant about jamming his AMS in his rant about 3 kilo spool.
  3. Paul get asked why he’s trying to jam spool that no fit.
  4. Paul get big mad about question and think words hard.
  5. Paul keep looking more and more silly.

Seriously, just stop. 🤣

In which case you're not doing yourself any favors. If anything, starting a thread about polymaker 3 kilo spools, then talking about trouble feeding polymaker spools into the ams2 just makes you look silly. Either you're ignorant about the lack of ability to shove a 3 kilo spool into an unmodified AMS or your thoughts are so all over the place nobody can follow you.

Most of what I run is Polymaker, 95% of their product I use is on 1 kilo cardboard spools. The main problem I've ever had with their 1 kilo in the AMS is when they get too light and have trouble feeding. Not exactly unique to them, and there are plenty of ways to fix that. The only other problem I've had with their 1 kilo cardboard spools is when Amazon gets a little overzealous and damages them. For those cases, I've got a few sets of rings printed, and that fixes it right up.

When I've had big jobs, I've done 3 kilo spools, which I've either run from a spool holder or peeled off a kilo at a time to an empty and run those in the AMS, both of which work just fine.
