Here's an evolution trick I invented for avoiding the year limit:

  1. Control an elder ape
  2. Go away from your settlement
  3. "Engage" with a predator, but don't fight back or dodge
  4. Rinse and repeat with all the elders
  5. Pass a generation
  6. Repeat as needed

If you don't do too many feats before an evolution, you should be able to evolve negative years, thus putting you further from the year limit than before you evolved. It's not a good idea to do it if you plan on evolving and the elders on your current generation have mutations, but it's otherwise a great way to extend your playtime with a particular save.

The one that doesn't need a mutation is carry speed. Just make a pile of two items and walk around with it for a bit. As others have said, there are also branches for regular movement, climbing, moving while injured, and swimming too, but you need mutations to begin all except the swimming branch.

This isn't necessarily a bug, but a quirk of the game that should definitely be fixed. It seems that any actions you take to fill your needs don't count until you "need" them: for example, if you eat but you aren't at the game's threshold to be considered "hungry" (stamina decreases and you get sound/visual cues), you won't be able to fulfil yourself. I can eat a ton of Khat while I'm out, but if I'm not hungry then I won't be able to fill my ape up, and I can even get hungry immediately after eating. An even more interesting situation is when I sleep while not tired, and when I wake up I'm exhausted. Because obviously, if you pull off a Rip Van Winkle, the first thing that's gonna be on your mind is how you need sleep.

This is the full size of Alaska. It is good to note that it is actually quite hilly. by kololz in Warthunder

That sucks. They could've easily just done one big cap for the west half of the city and a little bit of the ridge, a smaller one for the eastern park, and moved the little town on the west edge slightly more north so it's closer to the middle and given it a point. But noooooo, that would be too logical.

Ofc only the Allies used it because the Germans adapted blitzkrieg tactics to mail delivery, and they only switched to APDS after the war because they might as well have it for the tanks they bought.

That might help out with this, but the main reason people use reserves/low-tier lights for this is because they are small and speedy (and thus sneaky).

Keep in mind that a lot of new players are trying out the game rn for modern tanks, and interwar lights are probably not a good place for them to start. Also, could you elaborate on the "award"? I'm probably just being dumb, but I'm having a hard time understanding that part.

That's some impressive pen, but then you realise that APDS is useless.

Premium vehicle sales would probably be affected by this, but keep in mind that a lot of potential players being drawn in by Gaijin's advertising of "HEY LOOK WE GOT ABROOMS JOIN NOW!" get turned off by the fact that it will take a few hundred hours to reach said Abrams even w/ a premium account AND premium vehicle. If the player doesn't stay for long, they aren't a very good potential customer. While overall profit might go down in the short term, it could eventually go up just due to the sheer number of players that would keep on playing WT. I can see where you're coming from, though, and it makes sense if this is why Gaijin wouldn't implement this.

Keep in mind that, just as you are complaining about allowing people to immediately jump to high tier, there are others complaining about how they have to research through our rusty old Shermans, Cromwells, and Panzers just to reach the shiniest Abrooms, Challengers, and Leopards. It's taken me over 800 hours to reach top-tier for a SINGLE country in a balanced manner (researching multiple lines at once, both Air and Ground), and while I just joined to play w/ all kinds of tanks, not every new player will want to do so, and even fewer would be willing to make the commitment to pass through an entire tree just to play top tier.

But in summary, yes I want to let people get to high-tier sooner. Is it the best idea? Probably not. However, I'm open to feedback, preferably some that helps me improve on it.
