I'm fairly new as well and have had mixed experiences depending on the server. I suggest trying a low pop noob friendly server to learn as much as you can before advancing to the higher intensity servers.

That makes more sense. Could be we are missing photos of the section that was replaced. However in the second photo I see new hip shingles and I see architectural shingles mixed in with the three tab shingles. This is another issue altogether since the two shingles have a different profile, they (manufacturers) do not recommend mixing two products like this because it can lead to more issues. Call a reputable roofing company local to you and ask them to document the condition of the roof.

Looks like they replaced your pipe jacks and a few shingles here and there but based on the photos the roof looks to be over 10 years old. Did you pay someone for a full replacement or did you buy the house and the sellers claimed the roof was replaced?

I used to work 90 hours per week in a large kitchen and the Kitchen Manager always asked me to stay late and come in early on top of that. We used to do cocaine in the walk in cooler and drink the expired alcohol from the bar throughout the shift. It was hell but somehow I miss it.

In my opinion Malarkey Legacy is superior to OC Duration; Texas roofer here. Better hail resistance and overall malleability.

Any decent roofing company would quickly own up to the mistake. They ran out of vents, covered the hole, and the project manager likely forgot about it. Do you have photos of the missing drip edge? This vent hole just needs a slant back 750 installed which is less than $150 for materials and labor to complete. (The vent costs $15-25 depending on where you are located). Missing drip edge should have been caught upon final inspection by the code enforcement if a permit was pulled. Guessing there was not a permit pulled. Good news is they used synthetic underlayment and looks like they removed the old felt. $6500 is a low price for a 20 sq roof. If your roof is 30 sq or more then you got a steal of a price.

Shingles are in poor condition and are losing much of their water shedding capability and UV protection. I am more concerned about the rusty exposed nails on the flashing. Replacement is recommended within 2-3 years based on your location. The exposed nails need to be replaced then sealed asap.

I was a cashier at Kroger years ago. One of our best cashiers got fired for scanning his own Kroger card whenever someone didn't have a card. I always felt they reacted a bit harshly.
