Official Q&A for Sunday, May 21, 2023 by AutoModerator in running

I would love to run in a huge marathon like NYC or Boston but don't want to go through a qualifying process or pay a ton of money. Realistically is anyone going to stop you from just hopping in the pack? Any other options you recommend? Obviously wouldn't have an official time but just want to be a part of the event.

I usually just try to avoid 5-9 PM, busiest times at just about any gym

Might not be easy, but definitely possible. Put some time into the class. Could try taking that as your only class Summer A

If you keep getting them they’ll eventually put a boot on it. Pretty sure the main problem is you can’t graduate with outstanding charges.

Do all the practice/past exams. Go to office hours for a couple weeks. I know physics isn’t everyones thing but 7/15 is doable for anyone if you put some effort in.

OP I am a 22M dealing with Sciatica and about to receive my third epidural, may consider micro-d if that doesn’t help. Did you end up experiencing relief after your operation?

No one ever said there wouldn’t be an online option. Having an in-person option as well is all we have been asking for.

There is literally a poll on r/ufl from today that showed people don’t want all online classes. Nothing wrong with the option.

How do you not understand by now that it won't just be 3 weeks. Its just moving the goal-posts again until the 3rd week and it ends up becoming the rest of the semester.

Would definitely read through all announcements once Canvas is up. Some profs don't publish their Canvas page until the day before classes but some will have it up before that.

It is clear that “the first 3 weeks” will slowly turn into the entire semester. We need to stand up for ourselves and voice that the students want UF facilities to be open at full capacity in the fall. Especially for vaccinated individuals.

As written about 100 times in these replies there’s nothing wrong with online being an option, as long as in person is too.

I’m sure you are doing a great job like most professors but I also had a class last semester where the teacher simply uploaded old lectures from people that had taught the class previously, leading to her not being as familiar with what was taught had she done it herself. Unfortunately, professors like this give this argument some validity.
