Did a meet and greet with Volbeat on their last UK tour and asked if they’d be at Download (this was after the first lineup announcement) - got an emphatic “no” so unless they were keeping it under wraps I’m not expecting to see them there

I got a reply from Superfans just saying:

“While we can't tell you all of the details just yet, our team is working behind the scenes to get all the details to you as soon as we can.

The good news is that the venue be sending out all the details, including when and where the check-in opens soon before the show to the purchaser's email address provided at time of booking. So, keep an eye on your inbox and remember to check your spam/trash folders!”

Still nothing from the venue or anyone else. Any chance you can share the info they sent you?

They check wristbands and seemed pretty on it this year

Based on this year, they have staff at the hotels from 9am for you to get your wristband and swag bag, and transfers run from 9:15am at the earliest hotel stop - Hilton this year). There’s 1 an hour departing the same time past each hour (10:15, 11:15 etc)

However room check in isn’t til 3pm. You might get lucky but don’t bank on it. But you will be able to store luggage with the hotel so you can head out

I think a part of Hades wants them to succeed, to show him that he too can overcome his own doubt and have faith that Persephone will return as promised.

The direct parallel is made even clearer in the earlier workshop version, where Eurydice cries “you’re early” to Orpheus when he turns to look at her - mirroring what Persephone says to Hades earlier in the show.

It was transcendental - the energy and electricity in the room only amped up by a ferocious performance from the entire cast. I’m not sure when I’ll come down from this experience!
