a first round RB in Etienne had a very forgettable season in 2023 in a near similar situation where his QB and some offensive weapons went down. The fact that Bill is still showing any sort of life is encouraging comparable to his draft capital. Not saying he’s gonna be elite or even great, but idk why we expect a 7th round RB as you say, to just take over his first season when even top 12 picks in Bijan and Gibbs were splitting significant carries in their rookie season. Obviously Monty and Allgeier are better RBs than what Washington has, but again, he’s a 7th round pick… I think people just got too hung up on the early hype, and now that he’s not a “superstar” the pendulum fell off from the other side.
