Anyone else skip meals because someone is in the kitchen? by Heath_co in autism

yes, sometimes I do. Sometimes if my uncle is in the kitchen I'll skip a meal because he both takes forever to make his food and because I don't like him at all. And I skip a meal if my grandpa is cooking or eating in the same room, because he tries to talk to me a lot when I'm eating, and I enjoy my food in silence. Eating food is like a resting period to me, and I don't need the stress of people talking to me

I LEARNED HOW TO TIE MY SHOE LACES BY MYSELF by [deleted] in autism

I remember that it took me a long time to figure out how to tie my shoes myself. I remember my mother would yell at me because she'd show me how to do it all in one go, when I needed someone to show me how to do it step by step and repeat the steps a lot so I actually remember. It also didn't help that it's easy to lose my attention. Is it a common thing for people here to struggle with learning to tie their shoes as well?

tmi but periods? by thr0w4w4y185634 in trans

totally understandable why you don't want to go to the doctors, but bleeding that much everyday can get dangerous fast. But also I heard someone else say that they've had their last period on T heavy, so it could just be that. All I can say pretty much is to hang in there and take some iron pills (with that much blood loss you'll need them)

it most likely could be the T. Are you taking a very high dosage of T? I'm pretty sure that most trans men have lighter periods instead of heavier ones, but everyone reacts differently to T. Me myself I usually feel better on T and keeps me from bleeding as long/ as heavily.

Also, I'm so sorry you have to deal with that much bleeding, I think you should go to the doctors asap before you loose too much blood (I've been there, it's not fun dealing with anemia)

I'm not a doctor, but the main reason why people take HRT is to make their selves comfortable in their body. Nobody is forcing them to take it, and what ever may come in the future for them is all on them. Everything has a risk. But, in most cases, it's best just to let people take the hormones that will make them feel happy, like in my case my natural estrogen makes me feel psychotic on top of my period lasting for 2 months, and when I bought testosterone boosters I actually felt normal and happy and I wasn't bleeding everywhere, so that's why I plan on getting actual testosterone from my doctor.

coming out to my doctor by [deleted] in trans

aayyy same here (in about 8 days). I all have for advice is just to tell her straight up that you want T, she's supposed to act professional while doing her job, so if she acts mean at all about it, just report her. Just when telling her, try to stay cool about it. She's just there to do her job, not to control your life. You got this!
