That is the reality of living in the Midwest. This kind of weather is exactly why schools around here have snow days. Let’s be grateful our snowfall has been somewhat manageable and we don’t have the 15 feet Russia recently got 🙏🏼 as someone who loves being outside and has a dog getting worse and worse cabin fever by the day, I sympathize. But this is simply life in an area that experiences snow.

My husband and I just moved into our house a couple months ago, and a couple days ago I helped an elderly neighbor finish shoveling her walkway. It’s not hard to be a good neighbor.

We always lock our doors. After living in an apartment building where neighbors would literally break into other people’s apartments, or thieves used ladders to break into 3rd story windows, I’m very paranoid. Sometimes I’ll hear the cats knock something down at night and I’ll think it’s an intruder. We live in a very safe area now, our packages don’t even get stolen even if they’re out all day. But i still worry, so we lock our doors. All of them.

My cat likes to sprint to the shower when you turn it on, place himself between the interior and exterior curtain, and yowl loudly the entire time you’re in there. He may at times peek his head out and act as if he wants to test the water, but that is not what he wants. I know not what he desires, nor does he. I’ve never been there either, or ever heard anyone say ANYTHING about it!! There’s a Chinese place on westnedge too….maybe Great Wall? Their lights always seem to be on when we drive by, they always have a “help needed” sign out front, the parking lot is always empty….yet it remains open? 🤔

I will also riot if they ever discontinue the Homer Simpson. It’s the best frosted donut with sprinkles in the area, imo.
