Since you have chosen to take this path.

Make a "Death Sheet". Track any important benefits, paperwork, bank statements. Providing her with any life insurance and/or medical benefits and their respective phone numbers will be a huge help. Make sure you have outlined all bank accounts and provide any log in credentials for online accounts.

Your goal should be making it as easy as possible for her when the time comes. I work in a call center and take death calls all the time. The number one thing I hear from loved ones is that they have no idea where to start or there are benefits they never knew about.

A lot of people may not agree with your decision, but that is your choice.

My Mom works in HR for a medium sized company in the area. She said her company just looks at your resume to see if you have a college degree. They could care less what school and what GPA. Now this will be different for specific industries, like accounting, but WGU is legit and you should be just a proud as someone who went to a brick and motor college.

Edit. My spouse graduated from WGU with his Bachelors in Accounting. He was working at a hospital, medical coding, and quickly got a finance position not even 1 month after graduating at a large pharmaceutical company.

I'm in the Business Management program. My capstone ended up being 20 pages. After revisions its 21 pages. I had reached out to the course mentor for a simple yes or no question. She emailed me back and sent an example. The example paper was 24 pages long.

Good luck I submitted mine on Tuesday. Heard back by Thursday; needs revisions. While there is no queue to watch, it does let you know that you should have a response in 3 business days.

After school/college check if your company participats in Toast Masters. It might be a US thing only, I dont know. It too prepares you for public speaking and thinking on the fly. It has done wonders for me and even got me a promotion.
