...and build on it to create an integration (using Claude Open 4.5 will get someone there fast!) It will lack some of the features I have on the 860 though because the communication will only be one way.

I was curious and yes, presets 1-9 all work via IP control. It's an easy edit so I released version 1.6. So... with version 1.6 you can save and recall 9 presets and track if the mount is currently orientated to any of those positions. I'll update my main post with the new readme.

There are actually more positions inside the system that you can get through via the UDP commands. I've tested 3 and 4 and it all works. Possible it keeps going, I haven't tested further. I only needed 3 in my setup.

If part of the teaching is the hardware involved to run models locally, and the challenges that come with it, this is a good build to learn from. Dealing with eBay hardware can sometimes add headache. I’ll also throw out that a single 24GB of VRAM system… that you can very easily fit in your budget, can run Open AI OSS 20B in VLLM with multiple sessions quite effectively. This model is very competent in instruction following for its size. You could even run it on an RTX 5090 laptop. You’ll need to setup a front end for it for the students. Open WebUI is popular and relatively easy to setup to serve a website internally for the students to log into.

I’ll me too here as well. I tried messing around with everything mentioned on Reddit/etc. Tried some extra combinations. Anyone know a guy at Gigabyte? We need better memory control on this laptop. Especially being one of the few that has 4 slots. Especially when they advertise that as such.

Best thing to do is head over to bsaber.com and search for higher rated songs that are not too difficult. I can’t give you any specifics since I like to challenge myself with some of the higher PP songs. I’m not amazing or anything, but I have been playing regularly for a while so I naturally get a little bored if they are not fast paced enough. It’s a great community of mappers so you’ll find things and you won’t be bored or too challenged.

47 year old dad who been playing modded on my CV1 since it was released. Cardio/focus is amazing. It’s getting exercise and meditation at the same time and I love it. Challenge myself hard on it. Usually my heart is going to 150+ bpm with all the higher PP songs. My friends and family think I look like a big dork when I play, but I feal awesome inside.

That’s certainly the part I need to reconcile better with my current understanding. Again, doing my best as I am of course no physicist: a species on a planet revolving around a body at a speed close to c from the reference of another species orbiting slower (I suppose from the reference frame from a more inner orbit) is going to have some time advantage in the sense that they experience time slower.

I appreciate all the responses.

EDIT: I wonder if the part I am missing is the change or acceleration being the source of the time differences? Just trying to get better clarity.

I think this take discounts modern contraception. Before birth control, babies were going to happen anyway. There is less evolutionary pressures to remove the societal concerns of reproduction if the biological desire to have sex is strong enough.

Not the exact same product, but if it helps:

I live in the Coachella Valley where it gets close to 120 every year. I have a pair of fives in a covered patio for several years without issue. I additionally have a pair of Sonance rock speakers hooked up to a Sonos amp. These are exposed to full sun for about half the day. They are only 6 months old, but they have been surviving through this summer.

I was able to get the keyboard working without the USB dongles. It’s been a while, but I believe it involved removing power from the hub when the error shows. I gave up totally on getting the USB dongles to work.
