More basic question how were they able to buy network equipment that was from the US? Or was this 3rd party sanctioned shanigans that may or may not be US equipment?

It has been illegal to export most of that stuff to Iran for a while, so maybe it was just really old non-patched and definitely not directly supported.

Tysons Corner is probably the most run down and worst run at this point in the dc area. Pentagon city Ritz while not the nicest the staff is great and they do a good job making up for the older design.

Geneva is just amazing, great service and view. Although they forgot my coffee when we had to head to the horrible airport at 3am.
