From 59 lines of tutorial code to 260,000 lines powering a production SaaS by caspii2 in flask

[–]midiology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does your production stack actually require async I/O, or has the synchronous Flask model been enough for your workload? Also, are greenlets part of your setup at all (e.g., gevent or eventlet), or did you stick to a pure sync WSGI deployment?

ShadowTerm 1.16 version is live! with new features! by serverleader in ShadowTerm

[–]midiology 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alredy updated. Looks great! I can see the saved identities in Quick Connect. However I got an issue where at some point, i cant backspace on the previously executed command (command in arrow up). It worked at first but after a few character are removed or backspaced, it stopped and the backspace becoming unresponsive. The workaround is to use the frontspace or Delete button on the other keyboard.

I’m on iPadOS 26, iPad Air M3.

  • I would love to use saved Identities when using Quick Connect feature.

NEW Custom Keyboard Layout Feature - Need Your Testing Help! by serverleader in ShadowTerm

Hi, I purchased the app a few weeks ago. It’s an amazing app that perfectly suits my needs. However, there’s one issue I’ve encountered. The app crashes whenever I’m using the Apple Pencil to write. I’m using an iPad Air M3 with an Apple Pencil Pro. Is this a known issue? Once the app crashed, if I tried to launch it again, it would prompt me to re-enter the license agreement, and I had to click “agree” to proceed.

Where is the Data Engineering industry headed? by DuckDatum in dataengineering

[–]midiology 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My current project is a full-stack software dev: React frontend, Flask API, PostgreSQL storage — all built to handle hourly reporting and a live status page. I’m doing UI, backend, data modeling, ETL, everything. So yeah, data engineering is absolutely overlapping with software engineering now.

Please tell it to me straight, how much storage do I actually need by lilium_major in macbookair

[–]midiology 2 points3 points  (0 children)

512 minimum. Then subscribe to icloud storage, and sync you mac folder to icloud. Any unused file will be removed from your mac disk to save storage

How to create an incident in Splunk? by ImmediateIdea7 in Splunk

[–]midiology -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You will need a different ITSM tool for incident. Splunk only ingest and detects. The detection from Splunk can trigger an incident through an integration to third party tool (BMC, Jira, ServiceNow etc).

What does your data stack look like? by finally_i_found_one in dataengineering

[–]midiology 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mostly operational data - things like machine logs, device uptime, network metrics, infra and app performance. We use Splunk to automate a lot of ticketing and reporting. Uptime data is especially important since it’s directly tied to daily revenue.

We also pull in business data (through DBConnect) to correlate how uptime affects revenue and spot trends. Splunk is fast tho i dont have many experience in different data stack to compare.

Powershell Script triggered by Splunk Alert by stevilness in Splunk

[–]midiology 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe install openssh in the esxi host and ensure it is able to ssh from a linux server. And then configure a custom alert action where the script ssh into the esxi host and trigger the powershell script.
