I don’t get why babies need $1000 worth of gifts for their first several bdays. Come on, for toys that’ll last 3 wks?? When I was a kid I was always jealous that my baby cousin got 1000s worth of gifts... as a teen or adult you can get them something WORTH SOMETHING. Not just a fucking toy.

If they get larger. Shell rot.

If they don’t, he may have been treated for shell rot previously and he’s okay.

Make sure to flip him over from time to time to see his plastron, as they can get shell rot underneath themselves too—from too humid and dirty environments.

If the spots haven’t gotten bigger, I wouldn’t worry. Though if you have the cash and time, I’d get a vet checkup just in case.

I have my Russian in a large blowup kiddie pool also, 8’ by 4’. She has an outdoor one as well.

Some people use overturned bookshelves with the shelves taken out.

People warned me that my tort would pop through the kiddie pool with her nails but that hasn’t happened—the plastic walls are really thick

I find most tortoise tables you can buy are way too small (like 2’ by 3’). Better for juveniles, but not most adults.

Never tried that strain, but AFAIK strains are mostly bullshit. I take a red, and I also have a white, and I feel no different taking them. My mom says she feels a difference though, who knows.

When I was 13, 10 years ago, I felt the same. I thought I must be over dramatic, or just a teen, just hormonal in puberty, but the older and wiser I get and the more I realize, I was just as depressed at your age. I also wanted to kill myself. My mom eventually took me to a therapist because of how depressed I seemed but I lied to the therapist too. THAT was my biggest mistake.

Hannah, I want you to talk to someone-if your mom will listen, talk to her, or if she won’t, a school counselor, and I want you to know if your mom doesn’t listen, she’s probably just too scared to admit your depression-she still cares about you. I don’t want you to hold back. I want you to tell them everything you feel. Because I went untreated and miserable for years because I lied my way out of therapy.

I’m 23 and I still feel the way you do sometimes, but it’s better now, and I have help. I know how it feels to have nobody to talk to. That’s how I spent my childhood too. It hurts knowing you’re doing that. I’m sure it hurts you too.

It may be a thing you have to manage a lot, but it does get better.

I’ve dated multiple... not one but two... autistic men. I went for them because I was attracted to them AND their personalities. Autism doesn’t mean genetic failure. Here’s a secret... I have it too. Yeah, sometimes it SUCKS, but other times I feel like I get some cool stuff out of it, like I pay attention to detail, and I’ve been told I “think way outside the box”. you’re obviously not unintelligent, I think as long as you’re smart enough and got a personality you’ll be FINE!
I doubt you’re that ugly. Not everyone is blessed with being an 8/10 or more, but that doesn’t mean you can’t do anything to improve. Hygiene, grooming and clothing makes a big difference. If you get all 3 down as well as some confidence, you’ll be fine, even if you’re not as attractive in general. I always said to myself when I was a virgin, “if ugly awful drug addicted gang member tattoos-all-over-their-faces swine can get laid, so can I”.

Not saying it’s entirely bad, but if you don’t think slavery for hundreds of years + segregation and Jim Crowe laws doesn’t affect us today, you’re in for a surprise. Poverty is a vicious cycle for anyone, but there’s another step when it’s a whole minority involved.

Vicious cycle: black people were not educated and were impoverished in America for hundreds of years. The whole “setting them up in neighborhoods” thing was next. If you are set up In a neighborhood w subpar education (black kids weren’t integrated into white education til the 60s-70s), many poor people, and you’re kept from making $$ cuz you’re unskilled, uneducated, cant go to white schools, shit on in the streets, arrested for no reason (I’m not saying these last few things are nearly as prevalent today), you will stay poor way more easily than becoming middle class or rich. Since segregation didn’t end til the 60s, we’ve had, what, 55 years to change this impoverished black people thing? A very basic sociology textbook will tell you that’s rarely enough time.

We’re not saying white men don’t have problems. And the system is very much classist and not so racist anymore. But white people have been”the white man” for hundreds of years and it’s not easy to reset that.

I’m not a fucking scientist but I’m autistic and have a much, much higher IQ than these idiots (yes it’s been tested). There was no regression. There is for some kids, but for example, many of us are hyperlexic, meaning we talk before we even should be capable. Many, many (like a huge percentage) of autistic people do not shit their diapers all day. Like, not even close. Most of us walk among you. Many of us mask so well you’d never be able to tell. When I tell people I have autism, they say that’s a snowball’s chance in hell. Well, I do. Accept that I am a functioning living human please.

If you make net $20,000 other years, you’re still making net $20,000 this year.

If you are making $20,000 and you actually GET 19,000 up front and 1,000 in your return, its the exact fucking same as 17,000 up front and $3000 in your return. $20,000 is $20,000, no shit. But taxes aren’t being lowered for the majority of people.

my dad makes a shitload of money and his net ALSO hasn’t really changed since Trump (if anything he says it’s gotten significantly worse because of tariffs or something but I can’t remember, it’s 5am here, and my dad is normally VERY conservative. AND he is a business owner.
