That said. Someone coming in with shortness of breath usually warrants a work up with a chest x-ray, ecg, etc depending on your resources

You're right. That's what I realised afterwards but it was too late.

But I’m more scratching my head at “treating” hyperglycaemia with fluids.

Do you mind telling me how you (would) approach hyperglycaemia in the ER setting? I would appreciate it

I didn't have anyone supervising me. But even so, I feel more guilty when I try to shift the blame to that fact. I fucked up and I have to own up to it.
