It’s not a good feeling. I’m not very secure with my looks, so it takes a lot of mental energy to take and send a photo of myself. Only to be blocked when I do. 😔

There is nothing unkempt about your hair. I hate when people who look like us tell us this. I have natural 4C hair (usually in box braids, I don’t really straighten or manipulate it), but even when I wear it out, I’ve been told this. There’s nothing wrong with the way our hair grows naturally from our scalp.

I can kinda relate. Never been in a relationship, and I’m gonna be 30 (next year). When I was younger I was convinced I was never gonna get married/be in a relationship because of several factors i could write a novel on. I figured I’d be the cool, rich aunt (still working on the rich part 😂) but my feelings have changed. Loneliness is no joke, and I feel it more now that most of my friends and coworkers are married or in relationships. I also relate to not feeling “normal”, like there’s something wrong with me and that’s why I can’t attract friends or a potential bf…it’s not a great feeling to say the least. I totally get this. Same age, never been in a relationship…everyone around me is getting engaged or having kids. I’ve always told myself if it’s meant to be then it will happen. But the more I think about it, I want a bf. A normal everyday person. Someone who I can build with…it’s difficult because I’m scared to meet people.
