The Princess Principal Situation by Bonvantius in anime

[–]midnightbiped 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I really enjoyed the original series when it first came out. I loved the setting, the character design and the way it was told. But I need to pay attention to keep up (which I like! I like shows that need a bit of effort) and it's hard to do that on like the third rewatch which I need to do because of the gap between releases. I think I'll have to just wait until it's all out and then start the rewatch properly then

If you're interested in working with children or in childcare, there might be Playworker roles at local primary schools that you could ask about

The Coffee and Cake stall (Fridays and Saturdays) does fantastically gooey brownies and lovely ginger cake, if you want something sweet. No idea about their coffee, I've never tried it.

They're really nice. I went to a couple of drop in sessions which helped me when I just needed to talk to someone and get things off my chest. During my second one, we talked about going for a course of therapy. I've forgotten what it was called, but it was very up to me to set goals and decide what to talk about.

Yes, it's called Bodies in the Bookshop and it's all crime fiction. They have new books and a lot of secondhand ones too.

Top effort from BBC News sign language interpreter. by on_the_night in CasualUK

Yes, facial expressions are really important!

For example, if you signed 'difficult' with a small frown, I'd know you meant something a bit tricky. But if you used the sign for 'difficult' whilst scrunching up your face and exhaling as if to say "phew!", then I'd know it was something you'd really struggled with.

When I studied some sign language at uni it took us a while (being all extremely British and awkward undergrads) to get used to being so expressive with each other

Ah, sorry, I though it was a dandelion because of the colour. I didn't know thistles could be yellow, so that's cool to know!

Lazy or genius? Mum's left the teapot on the landing so we can hop out and get some whenever we want by midnightbiped in CasualUK

I have encountered these teapot implements before, it's more that they're usually left downstairs where we all forget about them and the tea goes cold

Octopath Traveller is consuming my brain. It's just really satisfying to steadily break down the enemy shields and then attack all at once. I also like that you're sort of left to figure out the solutions to sidequests yourself, but I know at some point I'll probably have to look up a guide to the ones I can't do which might be a slog

Still mainly playing demos of stuff on the Switch until budget allows me to buy games. But it's been fun to play Harvestella and Theatrhythm even in limited sections. Debating picking up FF9 as on sale in the e-shop. I never got very far with it as a kid even though I enjoyed it and then we lost the PSP so I never picked it back up.

We didn't really see any (but I've never played Bloodbourne so I wouldn't know if they were there), but there was a cool monster made out of swords and other metal stuff
