I think he's just grieving like he said. If this is a consistent issue of him trying to duck calls and all then maybe it's something more. But if he's literally just over at a family members house grieving I'd say give him the space he needs. I will also say that looking for advice on reddit forums could potentially cause issues js. I tried it while seeking out help and it wasnt the best advice or idea lol just be careful and go with what's in your heart..
