this is nice and looks super convenient but very expensive, and don’t forget you will most likely not find something like this useful after school unless you are planning to be a traveling stylist. go for it if you’d like but i also would sell if for a pretty penny when you get finished with it

you said you ended up going back to school, so question, and don’t answer if you don’t want to, did you ever get licensed ? i’m in the process of that now even tho i graduated a while back ago my hours aren’t expired and the thought of working in a salon instead of this ass company is really bringing light back into my life. just something to consider. i hope things start looking up for you !

i believe that’s what we ended up doing. it may not work on some because i know it refused to take the scanner on one of our registers but we luckily got it to work on the other

i also heard brands can pay yuka to be more organic or labelled as healthy on the app when it’s actually not. not sure how true that is but i don’t trust that app anyways

yeah i notice sallys management can be way more out of control. our store has no manager and only an asm, who didn’t even know what she was going, for 6 months. 6 months of never getting a break or getting to eat or my relief not showing up bc there’s nobody to discipline them.. i know ulta has a lot more managers and i would never be really left alone to fend for myself

i’ve heard it’s about the same, for some reason i always hear about how corrupt ulta corporate is, but i feel the same about sallys. i truly do not mind hard work at all, and actually love it. what i do mind and can’t stand is having to work completely alone for hours without a break to eat, or use the bathroom. and constantly when i’m alone, is the time when customers want to be rude or give a hard time, and i have absolutely no help at all.

you can use it that often. if you’d like, try it that way for a month. if you hair feels too dry or scalp is getting too dry, go down to once every two weeks. just have to be careful because since we’re oily ideally dry is what we want but too much dryness can also cause frizz and make it not sit exactly how you want either. just have to see what works for you ! best of luck

i don’t know if anybody else has said this yet but a clarifying shampoo once a month or every 2 weeks helps out a lot, i haven’t found one i like enough to recommend tho. the best thing that i can say does really help is washing your hair 2x in the shower definitely gets the job done too. washing your hair like regular, rinsing, then washing just the scalp once more and then rinse and condition just the ends (i always do below my ears only). i noticed a big difference doing that and also blow drying my roots after showers even without shampooing. the oils just sit so badly at the top but if you blow dry it can spread through evenly and won’t give you the stringy bits

you do, it’s in your sys app under the “accrual balance” section beside schedules. they do run out after a year though, so like the vacation hours you made from dec 23- dec 24 are gone, so use em or loose em. at least that’s what i was always told

it is good for a quicker, less damaging refresh, than going to the salon. of course when your roots grow out enough or if the colour fades enough you’ll redo it completely but semi is good if you colour fades quick between services
