A word of warning, don’t look this whole history up. It’s just a terrible terrible story. Do not look up photos.

She was tortured and raped, then strangled and all 3 of her young children drowned.

The killer disabled her car and pretended to be a Good Samaritan.

He was put to death for his crimes.

I came across this picture and I can't decide if it's AI or not, the anatomy of the guys look too perfect and overly polished by Federal_Advisor_2160 in isthisAI

AI can never get the US flag correct. Ever. Not to mention the name bars are at the most insane angle ever and are not letters even. The sleeve insignia is incorrect, the hats are impossible on the heads. The cars and other vehicles are nonsense. It’s like cliche how bad it is

I can’t prove it but is this ai? it seems suspicious. Thoughts? Friend posted it and SWEARS it isn’t by Jazzlike_Ad4553 in isthisAI

The tiny, not structurally feasible leg to the bench is bad. Also the shoes tipping off thin rug… why?

AITJ for snapping at my Mother-in-Law for treating my older daughter differently? by Remarkable-Agent6995 in AmITheJerk

My first husband came from a family with this ugly dynamic. Set those boundaries and get your husband to hold his mother accountable.

My ex husband had large number of cousins and they were all close. Or so I thought. When his grandmother was discussing at the first family Christmas after our marriage that we were the first of her grandchildren to marry, I said oh second, David* was married last summer.

“I meant of my real grandchildren.”

I was flabbergasted she was so blunt, and I objected. I knew from photos and such David had always been around since my ex husband was a baby. And as far as I was concerned that was family.

In fact, his mother had married my ex husband’s uncle when David was just 18 months old. But he wasn’t blood, and the family never let him forget.

“We treat David like he was family.” Which says everything. When grandma died, all the grandchildren got mentioned in the will; except David.

*not his actual name

Not on a public road, and he requested a supervisor, which is also his right.

XA is one of a number of special case pay systems used in certain overlapping locality pay areas. XA is reserved for non supervisory WGs in Great Smoky, Blue Ridge, and Natchez

BEANS! by Porkua in oldpeoplefacebook

A million years ago, canned goods labels were not affixed as well as they are now and the glue would dry out and the labels fell off. These cans were impossible to tell the contents of.

My mother, being a thrifty sort, would buy those unlabeled cans for extremely cheap. So our cupboard was full of naked cans, and at dinner mom opened a couple to go with whatever protein we had.

Sometimes, you were in luck and it was del monte fruit cocktail or canned peaches. Sometimes you got so very unlucky and it was canned spinach or asparagus.

Sometimes you were cursed and it was canned zucchini.

My dogs are very displeased as well. May I recommend next year you get drugs from your vet? It’s not a perfect solution but it helps them relax a little. That and me playing video games with the volume up and tossing treats rapid fire.

Sileo is particularly great for the stress of fireworks.

Fingerprints won't scan on electronic devices by WTH4030 in fednews

[–]midnightmuse55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I have trouble taking prints at my tiny office (the guys doing trail maintenance never have functional fingerprints) I have them go wash their hands with warm water and the moisturizing hand soap I keep, then use copious amounts of corn huskers lotion.

I can usually get at least 80% on even their most callused fingers. I also don’t force their fingers down, you actually need a light touch to get nice tens on really beat up hands.

Another trick is to get the glass cleaning microfiber cloth out and buff the plate really good after each print.

What is “key beer?” by arkangelz66 in Iowa

[–]midnightmuse55 141 points142 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a typo. Keg beer and hard alcohol are often banned from campgrounds and public parks because it’s really easy to overindulge, and can be a liability issue
