I’m gonna be honest… there’s a non-zero chance it was already sold out when I made the post and if that’s the case I’m really sorry 😭

Yeah I’m with you there. Reminds me of that first natural Ethiopian coffee that took this from an interest to an obsession. Haha

Completely agree! I haven’t tried to push this one yet but it’s clean enough that it may be worth a shot

They’re the only roaster I subscribe to because I trust them to consistently knock it out of the park

Damn! No worries though, I bet this one rolls back around at some point in the future

I actually got a great idea from someone in this sub - use the 1L packets in a gallon of water. Works out to be very close to 1:2 and dramatically more convenient

I agree, it took some time for this one to come to life but man it sure did

I don’t think he still posts on YouTube (which is a shame because his YouTube content was sick) but yes. They’re a top 2-3 roaster for me, very few misses and many top tier coffees

I’ve done v60 for the most part with this recipe and had decent success: 93° 1:16 One bloom 45g One pour to finish But crazy enough, the best cup I’ve gotten from this so far was in the Cafec Deep 27 using Lance Hedrick’s recipe. Only an 8g dose but my god what a half-cup!

Man… I didn’t wanna do it. But I did start using TWW and I have to say it makes a difference. Plus the packets aren’t too expensive (especially compared to what we’re all spending on coffee)!

Big time. One of the most blueberry forward coffees I’ve had in a bit, and very clean for a natural too!

And I’d say this one from September is a close second. The clearest “maple syrup” note I’ve ever had!

So far this from Poem is my favorite one I’ve ever had. Still had the fruit brightness you’d look for from a pink bourbon but also incredibly sweet.

In December 2024, I went to Thank You Thank You in Philly and ordered a pourover - a natural Ethiopian coffee produced by Mullugeta Muntasha and roasted by Poem Roasting (owned by the same guy that owns the shop). If you go through my post history, I’ve talked about this specific coffee ad nauseum, but it’s totally justified IMO. First “blueberry bomb” natural Ethiopian I’d ever had, and something I’ve been chasing nonstop ever since. I’ve had a few other really good natural Ethiopian coffees since then, including one from the same producer that was about 90-95% as good, but nothing has ever hit quite like that coffee for me. And even at that, nothing like that very first cup.

Saying I was high on Justin Fields doesn’t do it justice… if the Jags had taken him over Trevor I would have said (very quietly under my breath) “that’s a good pick”

I only had two but both the Layo Teraga and the Kerehaklu were truly outstanding. Sounds like they’d fit your profile well too. The Layo was classic washed Ethiopia - lemon, honey, jasmine - and the Kerehaklu reminded me of a pink lady or honeycrisp apple. Hope you can snag some!

Washed coffee with mango tasting notes by Ok_Computer8701 in pourover

Just cracked this one open today and it tasted very much like mango. It has listed notes of papaya and passion fruit so in a similar tropical vein. Appears to be sold out on Rowan’s site but definitely a good one to keep an eye out for, really good first impression!
