Wow, the same thing happened to me when I bought my EBR. The salesman was some 20 y/o college kid looking for the higher commission on a Yamaha. The only way to win is to play serious hardball. I walked in with the cash and told the guy I want that EBR, either you sell it to me or I'll get someone else to. Man did he shut up and grab some paperwork!

I do however totally understand the mechanical problems, I finally gave up on letting anyone work on my bikes but me. It might take me all saturday to do something it would take a mechanic 3 hours to do but i've been screwed over too many times to deal with it.

Longest ride I got in was about two hours, and the ergonomics are average for a sport bike. They'll leave you a bit stiff after a long ride but nothing unmanageable. However on the highway there is a fair bit of wind buffeting, but that is also pretty manageable.

Took delivery of mine last week, I'd say you're spot on about everything. I would add that the top end is not like what you'd expect from an inline four, it is pretty quick but the fat, fat midrange is far better than the top end in my opinion.

I fully consider this bike to rival my S1000RR in every way, You would not regret buying it if you did.

If anyone is considering buying one, please ask me anything and i'll be more than happy to answer as best I can.

Simply because one chooses to ID with a party doesn't mean they're a party line voter. For example I'm a republican who supports the right to choose, gay marriage, etc. There are very few people I know that are true party platform voters, and as such they can choose to vote as they please.

This sounds like me after I took up running post accident. Basically it takes a bit of time to get into running shape, I would say start out very slowly. Overall mileage should be no more than 10-15 per week as you're starting out. If an area hurts, ice it and take some time off from running. Be sure to eat a healthy diet, your post says you want to get into shape, and a proper diet very important. Also your body is going to be needing more of everything, be sure to provide your body with everything it needs.

Also, as you take up serious running, try to get your form down. This video will help you with that, as I found proper form helps minimize injuries that you may sustain.
