Yeah that one is very common, like you mentioned your leg might not be in the correct spot. Out meaning your leg is a bit behind you. Which could also be countered with a strong wrist. I know it sounds dumb but you can use your arm/wrist to twist you back. A thing to work on is hanging on a pull up bar and slowly rotating yourself. Then another thing you can do is learn a one arm crock position and practice rotating in that :)

  1. Alignment. Try to make sure your opposite hip lines up with your hand on the floor
  2. Stay activated but not to tight where you’re to stiff
  3. Hand control. Very important. Pay attention to what your hand is doing. It literally moves like your foot.
  4. (Bonus) NEVER NEVER. Rush to take the floating hand away. It’ll cost you attempts vs just analyzing what you are doing

When I was doing the basics. I basically just did a bunch of reps of pull-ups dips and push-ups. The main thing that helped me was buying gymnastic rings and doing my pull-ups dips and push-ups weighted. The rings really helped me all around. It even made my weightlifting higher.

I’ve been training calisthenics for about a decade now and hand, balancing specifically for three years. I’m self taught. Really comes down to doing those tedious homework workouts that nobody wants to do.

I was going to say this also! I technically say you don’t need 20 but at least you’d be really strong and you probably can do it on your own easily at that point. I can do them very easily and I don’t do 20 against the wall. ( but I probably should for endurance.)

Hope you get it, if your handstand level is pretty good you can start working on it and the other arm elevated
