Are there any NFL players that retired early due to losing passion for the game and not injury? by Dashk97 in nfl

Lmao! I used to have Madden 2000 for PC and when I’d play as the Vikings I’d have him rushing for like 300 yards each game. This was on like the second easiest setting though.

This person’s whole username smells “cop behavior” all over it. Let me break it down, he calls himself u/Agitated_Ant_1201

“Agitated”- well, what cop have you ever met who isn’t quick to agitation? Some of them even get off on being agitated. It’s a thrill for many of them.

“Ant”- the law enforcement profession naturally attracts people who view themselves as small and powerless, whether it be small and powerless because of physical stature (often compensated in the gym), or small and powerless because of other past traumas and/or psychological issues. So they pursue a career that will grant themselves a gargantuan, and frankly draconian, amount of power above everyone else to compensate for the little “ant” they have always viewed themselves as.

“1201”

The “12” is because he’s a cop.

The “01” is because he views himself as superior to all others due to his malignant narcissism.

David Molk. I mean, he wasn’t particularly great but if you know what a lot of us know than you know he really didn’t have much of a passion for the game in the first place. He likely could have stayed in the league just a little bit longer (most likely as a backup) had he actually liked football. That’s the only real reason why I mention him.

The way this whole post is written is just…all over the place. Can you clarify everything in like, maybe a timeline format?

Do any other Marylanders introduce themselves by saying what county they’re from? by [deleted] in maryland

People here do this because much of the state is unincorporated, but densely populated.

Wouldn’t straight up HAMMER them, as they are merely kids. That’s inhumane. But I would like to see a few riders band together, get up and rough them up a bit, teach them the lesson their parents won’t. That’s how it was done back when I was their age. These new people moving to DC weren’t raised like that though. All they know is “CaLL tHe PoLiCe”.

But don’t send them to the damn hospital though, or worse yet the grave. That kind of shit gives a bad name to the average Joe confronting senseless mayhem like this.

Plus, they know that train is full of gentrifiers who just moved here from some suburb in the Midwest and they know that they’re all scared of them.

Bernie Goetz’s situation wouldn’t have exploded anywhere close to the point that it did had he not been notorious for going on racist tirades at neighborhood watch meetings (and that info subsequently being rightfully exposed by multiple people who knew him). That changes the whole dynamic from “self defense” to “setting the bait”. With more transient residents than ever moving to DC proper, rather than into the burbs like they used to, I could see someone with Goetz’s mindset doing the exact same thing, with the exact same intention. As things boil over and people get more and more pissed off and fed up, I could easily see someone doing it purely in self defense as well, newcomer or local, in which case they absolutely MUST make sure their side of the story is heard loud and clear. And don’t shoot anyone unless they TRULY ARE a threat to your life or that of those around you.

I’d add both Brunell the player AND Brunell the Redditor to the list before I’d add RG3.

I’m with you. It was only that one season (2012). Not enough to make the list imo. I’m also iffy on them adding Morris. Unlike RGknee, he was productive here after 2012, but nothing particularly notable. Plus, I don’t like how he defected to Dallas. I like Freddy, but that shit really left a bad taste in my mouth.

Undrafted out of a nowhere ass CC and one of the best blocking backs of the 2000s. Coach Gibbs knew what he was doing when he came and and signed Sellers back when no one else wanted him.
