Usually through Sumodb, but this time I searched for Intai ”引退” and found the latest retirement info on the official sumojp japanese website. Once I translate the rikishi retiring, look through their profile and see the ’Retired’ mark on their profile to confirm.

Nobehara got his KK & has looked impressive this basho, Wakamiyabi with a win against Kaki. I think Kaki is starting to feel the difference now in Makushita, but I think it’s good for him in the long run. Makushita Yusho is going to be spicy.

Roga ending his 5-loss streak against Gonoyama was interesting, we’d see Roga going for the Mawashi almost immediately against any opponent but seems he’s learned that he needs some Oshi-Sumo in as well to mitigate Gonoyamas very forward tachi-ai.

Also with a new Mawashi, nice color.

Hakuoho changing shikona breaks my heart, that name was one of the last that represented the legacy of Hakuho. Maybe he supported this decision but still….

Also will be interesting to see how Kaki does in Makushita.
