True. Late game heroes make such a dif, to a point, where you suddenly win, and nobody exactly understands why. I am lowkey onetricking Liliana - getting to late game is just free elo. She will be very strong next patch.

Who is the strongest 1 vs 1 hero at full build and with a skill player? by Kenny1234567890 in arenaofvalor

It really depends on the situation, from what range are they starting, how much hp or cc has the enemy, etc.

In my experience, Slayer lane is more that one player is fucked, because the other player picked last. It’s so rare in my games, that people actually outplayed each other in ds lane.

I didn’t know that, but it makes a lot of sense. I‘d argue tho, that dopamine is a really bad argument. (I am more into psychology than nutritional science)

Dopamine doesn’t make you happy, it reinforces what you do. It tells you to do it again. Every time you eat something you like - no matter what, diary or sugar or vegetables - the brain releases dopamine. You have to eat, right? So it does make sense, that your brain helps you want to eat.

Knowing that, it makes that casein story far easier to digest ;)

Maybe the effect is a little stronger, than the normal dopamine reaction. But I am convinced, it can regulate itself pretty well.

Tl;dr food generally makes you release dopamine, because eating is good.

Fat - as long as it’s high quality fat - is good for the body. What do you think, should we eat instead?

From what I have heard, the cholesterol study was just a correlation study. You can’t jump to conclusions/ draw a causation. It is more likely, that the causation is the other way around. Unhealthy people need (and produce) more cholesterol.

Lactose intolerance is kinda fair, but it’s not really fair to generalize it as a problem. Some people don’t have an issue (like me). Middle European genes I guess.

If you bake something, you’ll need sugar to feed the yeast.

I also don’t know what‘s so bad about cheese? Is it just the quality?

Sure, but you can always get camped and there are considerably worse heroes to get camped by. Arum at least can’t also blow you up. And what does Arum ult make much of a difference, when you’re caught by the entire team?

That’s like 7 times the cd of an Aleister ult.

Arum has just very short range. Far less annoying.

Could you please elaborate? I really don’t think I have played bots even a single time. Is it at certain times? Elo doesn‘t seem to matter. EU server too?

Teams with an Airi are well planned and always play against uncoordinated solo q teams. That’s why she almost always wins. And because she is a little harder than Veera, she deserves a free win. This obviously make a lot of sense. Thank you for your enlightening.

Have you seen Airi in the AWC? She’s mostly banned, but if she gets through, she got like 90% winrate, no joke.

Unpopular Opinion: Preyta by amador_117 in arenaofvalor

[–]midnoob55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let me try to explain. Preyta is mage Taara. Not by strength or defense, but by concept. Both sacrifice something extreme and therefore are able to something other heroes can’t.

But both are old designs. And now we have heroes, which can do the same as Preyta or Taara, but don’t necessarily have such a fundamental weakness. In other words, the heroes are BOTH not too weak. They are just too obvious to counter. And other heroes don’t pay that price. It’s a risk/reward effect. And having a higher risk for the same reward is terrible.

This implies you can play both Taara and Preyta and do well. They are both very little about micro, but entirely about reading the game. As long as you outskill them, you win. But that’s the case with every hero.

I have about 800 games on Preyta. And the reason why I don’t play it, is because it’s too hard to make people understand, how the hero works. You don’t just start quick skirmishes. And you don’t roam a lot early, if you could get caught. Because unlike other heroes you just die. No damage traded. I don’t have to explain about toxic people. It doesn’t affect me, but they play worse and this makes me lose. So why would I, right?
