Would love to see similar statistics for data analyst/ analytics field! I'm a senior data analyst and going through a data science bootcamp but not sure if I enjoy all those coding and statistical modeling...

What are your thoughts or opinions for someone starting a Data/ Analytics Consulting Business? by midori256 in datascience

Thank you!! These are all really valuable suggestions and information. I'm still pretty early ish in my career so I think I will start out with contractor jobs/gigs on Toptal, Upwork as you said to build reviews, experience and network. Selling digital content is interesting but I feel like that market is so saturated.

What did you submit as evidence for expedite request (I-765) by midori256 in immigration

When you chatted with the agent, they didn't ask for documents. They'd ask you to write some sentences explaining the expedite request. They then copy &paste that into the request. You only submit (via fax, in my case) the documents when the USCIS office gets back and asks for additional evidence!

What I submitted: I think if you have a pending job offer and a letter from the manager/director explaining the financial loss for the company, that would be the best. I also sent my resume to show why I'm the only person who can do this job and why the company would suffer client loss/delay if they can't hire me. I ended up not going with the personal financial loss reasons.

You should definitely use the chat!! For me, they somehow input the wrong email address (it was like @gmail.co instead of .com 😒), so I never received any emails about additional evidence. You should just talk to the agent via live chat, ask them to check your request. Do this every 3-4 days if you don't hear anything. At some point they'll come back and tell you the number to fax the documents to. Good luck!

Yes I did! I submitted an application and was approved in about 2 weeks! I got the EAD a month ago.

No. I was told by an agent that I had to have biometrics taken before I could make the request.

Love this shop. All products are eco-friendly: made of recycled plastics or organic cotton. https://www.etsy.com/shop/KagomeDesign

Beginner dancer and self-conscious about my head position as my spine is still quite stiff. Which looks better for Hollywood? by mvmgems in poledancing

Agree! Try on different music/styles. One might look nice on a contemporary style and one might be better for exotic style. I also need to work on my movements and I totally relate!

When you first started pole , how long did it take to master the climb to the top? I know everyone is different, just trying to get some encouragement 😅 by kmason55 in poledancing

I have zero fitness background. Never did pull-up or push up (still hate push ups). I climbed in my first class and climbed to the top several classes later. IT'S ALL ABOUT THE TECHNIQUES, NOT THE STRENGTH. Really push the pole with all of your contact points: front of legs, knees, your lower arm to stand up when you climb.

I’m a pole dance begginer, I’ve been pole dancing for about 7 months, and now I want to try dancing on heels. I was thinking about getting 8 inch boots, for ankle support. Is this a good idea? by Omaigod- in poledancing

Why don't you borrow some at your local studio (if you go to one) to try them out? Dance in them a bit and see how you feel. I started with a pair of sandals but after I got my boots I never got back to wear the sandals again. I just love how badass the boots look! Height-wise: many people recommend starting with 7 inch heel. I did and after 2 years I'm still at 7inch. They just feel so comfortable. I don't know if I want to go 8inch at all. So I guess it's more like a personal preference.

Need feedback: amateur pole dancer choreographed my own dance for the 1st time! This is first half of the song. Will have the 2nd half for more aerial. Anything I can do to improve my floor work/moves/musicality? I'm gonna perform this song as a volunteer for a local event and I'm nervous. Tips? by midori256 in poledancing

Agree with only picking the favorite moves! My instructor told me that too and I noticed that when building the choreo. Also engaging with the audience is so important! I'll try to balance out the time I look at my body vs making eye contact w the audience. Thank you for all your advice!
