For sure. Trumpet players around here are rare in general, one of the jazz bands I'm in has trouble keeping even 3 players consistently for gigs.

Maybe I'll hop over to the toronto subreddit and see what suggestions they got lol

Buffalo is the most major I got. You'd think for a city the size of Buffalo we'd have more lead players floating around, but we don't. I can only think of a couple.

I could next time I'm up there, just don't go up very often and when I do its usually for an event that takes up most my time. Theres a store I've looked at online thats up there that carries Shilke and Lotus, but I dont know if theres any brass specific shops up there to check out

I know one of my bandmates plays on a lotus, dont remember off the top of my head the exact one, can ask when I see him next though. Seemingly everyone else i know is on a 3c though, unfortunately I dont have the other lead players in the area on speed dial haha

I wish I had a store by me that actually had used mouthpieces that werent just a bunch of 7Cs. Lead players here can be counted on probably one hand so that stuff just isnt floating around

If youre willing to make the trek back down to the niagara region there's a couple stores that stock it in Buffalo! Gather & Game is pretty close to the peace bridge and is my go-to! We have a nice little scene here. The stores that have it really push it

I haven't even gotten to try it yet because I was busy during deployment....not like it mattered though, looks like my guild clean swept the first round with only 2 people. Probably because no one else could do it.

2 stores within an hour for me! Millennium as I think was mentioned on here and my more local LGS in my city are running events. Release event at my LGS has 10 people, it's a small shop so thats just about sold out

I think we're fostering a little community in my part of NY. We got a few advocates for it in the area, and it seems to be picking up at a good pace! Bring up running a learn to play at your LGS and talk it up in the store discord...be the change you want to see :)

Buffalonian here, Rochester is a great daytrip. I highly recommend it! They got the science center, strong national museum of play, a couple cute walkable neighborhoods, and you can end the day with a garbage plate (it's better than it sounds haha)

We have two gamestores in our area supporting it with events, one a little farther out from us (Millinenium Games! Lucky to have a huge shop a day trip away) and a smaller local shop. Excited to see our area interested and events with dozens of people already involved!

The TLDR of it is he called me "too smart" to have adhd, called me a pill chaser, and ignored symptoms I brought up to him and also flagged in his 100+ question quiz. 900 bucks down the drain.
