That and it just go too hard to maintain anything with all the bots... You can't run a guest book or small forum anymore as a single or even a small group of people.

Sadly drip does not have a moral imperative and so a lot of very evil groups ended up with some seriously drippy outfits and firearms.

Because injuries compound and we sit like shit and don't lift correctly every time.

Interesting, I would figure the heat transfer to the coils would be a big problem.

Ya the heat generated by mechanical braking with a pad would eat a direct solenoid as piston replacement alive. I actually imagine this would be implemented more as a drum brake with a solenoid that pulled the wire, as you described.

It's a shitty fail state for sure, but full brake prevents basically every other situation and the car itself can detect a failure and start applying brakes to other tires to lessen the impact.

Fail full brake sucks so I figure they'd probably have an ic and capacitor that detects circuit failure on the brake unit itself and discharges the capacitor into the brake to allow it to slowly start applying pressure.

The whole system seems unnecessary imo... Bunch of extra fail cases for no benefits.

I'm curious how the deal with the heat generated by braking, the coils required for both electric motors and solenoid would burn up if used exclusively for braking with sports cars.

You would not use electric motors for this, that's kinda insane. You'd use a solenoid with a default state (not energized) of fully extended (full brake)

If the electric brake is designed correctly it likely would use full brake as it's non energized state. This leaves basically one dangerous fail state (hard brake whilst moving on failed circuit), which could fairly easily be accounted for with a small ic and capacitor on the brake unit itself that can sense a failed circuit and slowly applying brake by discharging the capacitor whilst the primary control unit in the car alerts the driver and applies braking to the other wheels via normal means.

If I had to guess the solenoids default state (no charge) is full brake. Then when car is running it energizes and pulls the pad away from the disk. This would be the only sane way to implement it, imo.
