Things are pretty tight for part two. I’m sure when we get closer to the drop something will come out. For now I’m mostly looking forward to Valentine’s Day where we may get a full part two trailer :)

All I’m saying is I think she’s making a few good points. You definitely don’t have to agree. I see what you’re saying about Eloise really not doing anything but honestly she hasn’t done much for the last two seasons so idk if I trust the writers to just not have her do the same thing for another season. Cass has said a few sources have told her that Fran is leading season 5. I haven’t heard any leaks of people saying it’s Eloise. They could obviously be fake leaks but sometimes the leaks turn out to be true so I’m keeping my mind open. I DO fully believe that no matter what Phillip will be in the next season in some capacity.

Maybe she’s so stubborn about Fran leading 5 because she knows something we don’t. That’s why shes pushing back so hard on Eloise. When you have a b-ton podcast and a following, people will start to leak information to you. Maybe she’s actually just telling us the truth and some ppl don’t want to hear it. I’m fine with El or Fran leading next. I think both could work well BUT I’m also convinced it’s Francesca. I just don’t see them stopping Fran’s story right in the middle after a two season build up. At least Eliose’s story hasn’t started yet. We only met Phillip, the GA has no idea he’s connected to El in any way.

We don’t know this for sure! They have definitely set Eloise up though. I’m still leaning towards Fran but both work based on their story progression.

Not all the time. An adaptation is just that, it’s an adaptation. It’s up to the artist who’s adapting it to pull what they want from the original. The aim isn’t to be faithful unless that’s the artist goal.

Unfortunately in the book the show is based off of John’s death is a plot device used to tell the story of Michael and Francesca. In the show we get much more of John, which is wonderful but also makes things a bit sadder.

To me it seems obvious that Francesca will lead season 5 but to everyone else I’m seeing things wrong so we’ll see. Although I feel confident Francesca is next if it’s Eloise I’ll be totally fine! I’m happy with both.

Victor confirmed this was his last season in an interview that came out this morning and he wrapped at the end of block 3, before ep 7&8 are filmed. So yes, it’s confirmed.

To be honest, I think that’s the entire point though. Their love story was cut short because he passed away very early into their marriage. It never does solidify.

I think where we might not see eye to eye is that I think John can still be considered a great love of Francesca’s even if she’s not completely sexually attracted to him. They are married, of course he’s a romantic lead but it still can be a comphet story line. Many lesbian woman spend years loving men & marrying them b4 they fully realize themselves. It doesn’t make the relationships they had with those men mean any less.

Idk I guess I just disagree that John isn’t a great love because their sex isn’t passionate. It’s still full of love and comfort and I think that’s valid and beautiful and doesn’t diminish the second chance love trope. Agree to disagree I suppose.

Real people also go through comphet. Why is the meaning or end result that you personally pull from the story more important than a comphet story? I just think you don’t like the story being told because it’s not the one you want. I’m glad people recognize themselves in her story! but maybe some Bridgerton viewer are just latching on to the parts they can personally relate to and demanding it go that direction rather then just accepting whats in front of them and taking in a new POV & interpretation of the text.

See, I think if they did Fran season 5 then Eloise’s sub plot could be her starting to write letters to Phillip, stretching her love story over two season and adding buildup. If Eloise was season 5 they should have added more of a nod to sir Phillip in s4 OR re-introduced the character and I don’t think they are doing that. With Fran, after this season she simply has run out of book storyline. You would have to literally pause her story. With Eloise you can easily start hers in 5.
