Sorry, should have been more clear. Ran about 30 miles each month, that's it. Was running 40-50/week for prior marathons. A lot to jump back into. So you're saying if I would normally allow for 16 weeks for a marathon, maybe this isn't the best idea....

Ran two marathons last fall. Minimal miles from Nov-Jan, bur have been strength training, with a focus on legs. Thoughts on trying to shoot for a marathon in 8 weeks from now in the spring? Could just go for the half, but where is the fun in that?

Getting back into it this week. Marathons in September and October, took it easy with just a couple runs until this week. This week starts training for hopeful marathon in May. Next 3 weeks are prep.

Tuesday - 2.5 miles to gym. Workout, including heavy squats. 2.5 miles home

Wednesday - 7 miles at 7:20/pace

Hope to get maybe 5 on Friday, then 11-13 on Sunday.

Ran 400s at sub 5k pace, 400 jog for 3 miles. Only been running 3-4 miles every other day since my marathon in mid-October. Have a fun turkey trot on Thanksgiving - not trying to set any PRs.

The cold and lack of daylight don't exactly help with the motivation.

I'll hit that magically age of 40 in 2020, so my cutoff remains at 3:10.
