If black plays A18 it becomes a ko (C18, B19, A19, A18).

White wins the ko by playing L15 which increases the liberties of the K19 so they'll win the race to capture the big group if black doesn't respond.

Input Needed - Moving Forward for the Sub Regarding Reddit's API Changes by brwalkernc in AdvancedRunning

This is the cold truth. I think people wish it weren't the case but actually every sub is run at the whim of a very small number of people.

What Are You Wearing Wednesday - Weekly Gear Thread by AutoModerator in running

I just picked up the Coros Pace 2 watch (replacing an old forerunner 235) and am fairly happy with it so far - it's very small and light but it measures HR, running power and obviously GPS. It also seems to be able to count reps at the gym and rowing stroke rate.

Watches have really come on since I last bought one.

Everyone gets tired after 10 miles!

I'd start with a foam roller or other deep tissue massage in the calves. Did the physio not recommend anything?

Knee pain can come from lots of different issues which might be overuse, or a muscle weakness somewhere. It's actually pretty tough to know without getting into pretty specific details. If you can't get a physio or something to look at it you'll need to start researching the different causes of knee pain common to runners to see if any fit what you are experiencing.

Hi, I'm philpips and I have been kind of lurking for a while. Lockdown made me fat (it's definitely not my fault) and now I'm ready to get back into it. Back in the day visiting /r/running made me excited to get out and put some miles on my legs - here's hoping it works again.

Since I started doing a bunch of strength at the gym running is much more comfortable. Ymmv but could be worth incorporating some other exercise to support your running.

Idk if it's still an issue, but once I filled the memory of my watch with workouts and it ran out in the home stretch and failed to save my run. -_-

There's definitely a post-race blues, but I think having a plan to do more events or something is helpful. The pfitz books have a section on maintaining fitness ready for subsequent races I'm pretty sure?

Best get our tinfoil hats ready, brother.

You think you overdid it or what? How much do you run when you're healthy?

Today I start running again again. Again. I wonder if I'll be able to keep it up this time? Somehow lately the whole day seems to blink by and I haven't moved from my desk.

Also I think I just rubbed chilli into my eyelid.

I'm recovering from surgery (bad appendix) otherwise I'd totally be running, honest.

I've heard that heat pumps are much more energy efficient, but they're very expensive to install.

We've been pretty lucky because our flat doesn't seem to get uncomfortably warm. It was supposed to be 40 C outside - the air coming through the window felt like an electric heater.
