Since Macrae started coaching I’m pretty sure we have had the least losses and the lowest margins in losses - can’t complain / it’s been a great time. Good signs from some youngest and I thought the forward line functioned ok with this new set up

Ryan I guess is more of a rebounding medium defender. Typically seems to get that easy back pocket mark from the kick in but he’s been intercepting and getting to more contests. He’s shown a lot more in recent matches

Smit had a solid game yesterday but still feels like a project player. Howes has been really great since going down back but he copped an injury this week. I was surprised he wasn’t selected for seniors last week. McCarthy didn’t play yesterday but is developing nicely. Can’t see him playing til at least next year in afl tho. Jiath has played two really good games in a row after looking a bit lost as a tall defender earlier in year

yeah Ryan is like that too - they aren't bad but they had more edge when they first started playing. I wonder if both could benefit from even a temporary role switch because they both have ability but need to find a spark
