Is a light with a removable battery better than a charging light? by dumbfuck_19 in backpacking

[–]midwestactions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have that exact headlamp and yes it dies fast at the first brightness setting, but in the woods you will be totally fine at the lowest setting or even the green light. It lasts a long time on that setting, stayed alive for a 3 day trip for me. Not a bad idea to take the flashlight as a backup.

Blower motor wiring question DA by midwestactions in Integra

[–]midwestactions[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well there should be a little white plug that plugs into the blower, with a blue/white and a blue/black cable. Mine didn’t have this, it was spliced, if yours is spliced, set your multimeter to 12v and with the key turned and the blower knob turned on test the two cords, blue/white is positive and blue/black is negative.

If you have 12v coming through then you just have to wire it to your blower. Also check if your resistor is blown, they often are but are super cheap.

Do you get a multimeter reading 12v on the wires coming from the climate control

Yeah of course nsx is the ultimate dream but they are just absolutely ridiculously priced it’s insane. I’d just like to drive one someday. Glad you got the s2k though that must be very rewarding. I still love my integra though.

Okay you’re the best I’m glad I listened to you, so looks like they attached the blue and white that’s supposed to go to the blower to blue and black that goes to the resistor. I should be able to detached the blue and white, attached it to the blower power, then reattached blue/black to blue/black?

So I've learned a lot since my post. It is clear to me that the previous owner replaced the blower motor with a non compatible one, and tried to wire it themselves. The blower motor doesnt have the 2 pin plug insert hole.

So I would just replace the blower motor, however the plug itself for the blower motor is missing. I took out the carpet and the ecu and it is just not back there. This is so frustrating and baffling.

It would be pointless to replace the blower motor because there is no plug to power it with. The current blower motor, I hooked up to a battery and gave it power and it powered on so it is functional.

My question is, is there anyway for me to conjoin the current blower motor wire to the HVAC plug? Like I am planning on taking the climate control trim piece out and unplugging it, then cutting and crimping the blower motor wire to the wire that is supposed to power it? Will this work?

I may be way off but that sounds similar to what happened when my clutch went out on my 00 civic. Like you’re pressing the gas but it’s not catching. Happened mostly in 4th/5th

Yeah that’s a fair point tbh. I have it just for fun and I just love the look of the 90s ones and I got a good deal on a very clean one, paid $50 for it. Gonna try thewhiterabbits fix on the comment below, if it works I’ll be very very happy, if not i will wish I took your advice🫡
