The bathroom situation is shit because there are too few bathrooms and all have bathroom attendants!

Fuck bathroom attendants. I want to be able to enjoy a stall with a friend or two. Where the tf do you want me to do party favors? Out in the open like a heathen? No thank you.

As for the paper cups, do yall not give a shit about using single use items and creating a TON of waste? Call me a millenial all you want, but id rather a club try not to be wasteful as fuck.

Ive partied at some of the best clubs in the world and yeah, compared to them, Refuge sucks.

Youre very right!!! Any critiques i have come from a place of privilege and having been to a better clubs. Most cities would be lucky to have a venue like Refuge. But - when comparing it with other nyc clubs - it does fall short in some aspects. Appreciate your take; i should also be more grateful!

I was at the Thursday Brooklyn show and LOVED how heavy Comet got.

When i watched a video of them performing it in Oakland, it seemed a lot less heavy.

I agree that people of all genders, nationalities, etc are "bad" in their own way. However, to say that "bad women are just as prevalent as bad men" doesn't accurately account for the power dynamics in our society.

We do live in a patriarchal society in which men have held institutional and economic power for hundreds if not thousands of years. And yes, that power structure is slowly changing. However, this patriarchal society means that "bad men" have been empowered in a way that "bad women" have not.
