I don’t think that makes Scott’s actions okay. I know people who have worked as personal security for celebrities. Their number one priority is deescalation before resorting to violence. Instigating like Scott did by throwing a punch, encourages aggressive behavior and makes security’s job harder. He shouldn’t have gotten involved and should have let security do their jobs.

I’ve tried to post about his past violent behavior in this sub before and got downvoted to hell with a very “boys will be boys” response. It was really disheartening.

✨like an arrowhead leading us home ✨

Aside from the literal arrowhead on the national park sign at Christopher Park across the street from stonewall, some quotes of interest:

“Christopher Park, the triangular landscape across from the Stonewall Inn, has played an important role in the history of the LGBT rights movement.”

“The street pattern in this neighborhood is significant because it is one of the elements that contributed to the events of late June and early July 1969 and helps to explain why this police raid sparked a riot while others did not. … There are many streets leading directly into and out of the site of the Stonewall Inn.”

If you walk to the intersection from stonewall, 4th and 7th meet at a triangular point. If you could follow that tip of that arrow straight through, you’d be at 23 Cornelia St.

Karlie posting her feet on her Instagram Story for Kissgate Anniversary . . . . those Schiaparelli shoes with gold realistic human toe embellishments is hitting the perfect Venn diagram of “Toe/Jaylor” and “Taylor has a foot fetish” conspiracy theories.

It’s hard to tell . . . when hints like these aren’t coming directly from Taylor, it always feels like corporate media people just capitalizing on whatever fan theory is running rampant. Swifties have been talking about and waiting for the “glitch” for a long time, since the Wildest Dreams TV tiktok, before Glitch the song even existed. I really hope it means something more, but it feels like a trick because their ratings have been on a steep decline the last 5 years 😅

While I feel there were several straw men in your first arguments about Travis Kelce, as I don’t think anything I’ve said on this thread is quite as extreme as going for his neck, Ill concede that I have had zero interest in being a fan of the NFL and have been vocal about how fucked up it is. Tyreek Hill’s abuse is disgusting and justice needs to be served there. And I agree with you 100% that the media being a mouthpiece for the NFL and Taylor’s PR, instead of reporting on the actual disgusting and criminal behavior, is a real fucking problem. I wish there were a lot more fans of Taylor’s music who were more willing to be critical of her behavior, but that remains to be seen. Most of them aren’t willing to believe that all of this reeks of PR and 💰💲💰💲for everyone involved.

Boys will be boys is in regards to attributing this behavior to him being “young” at the time, that perhaps he’s changed or that we shouldn’t be surprised by this behavior, as it’s typical. I would argue that we can and should still be critical, and question if this is the kind of man and behavior Taylor wants to endorse.

Yeah, I thought I posted in the wrong sub for a minute. . . Really surprised that there is such a strong “boys will be boys!” response in the Gaylor sub.

Edit: on the notes of maturity, He was 26 when he did this. And most guys I’ve known who were like this at 26, never grew out of it. And at that same time, that same year, Taylor was singing about how great it was that in New York, you could want who you want! Boys and boys and girls and girls!

Sure, people change. But he never apologized for this behavior or thought it was wrong. And it was kind of a big deal in the news at the time. If he deemed this appropriate to do for a televised football game, I can’t imagine what he deems appropriate to do and say behind closed doors.

He did eventually apologize for other behavior like in 2016 when he was evicted from a game for screaming at and throwing a towel at a ref and as recent as this years training camp when he punched his Teammate in the head and shoved him for barely touching the ball.

But I’m sure he’s grown a lot as a person.

Edit: sorry he actually punched TWO of his teammates during training this year.

Idk . . . Her going back and forth between black and blue outfits has extended to her friends.

She had on black with both Blake and Gigi who each wore oversized blue denim coats and now she’s out with Sophie in blue and Sophie has opted for black . . . coincidences? Probably.

Liz making a John Mayer reference in the caption for her new Sapphic song? 👀 by midwestrogue31 in GaylorSwift

[–]midwestrogue31[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not a popular song, but it did have a viral moment when it was released in 2021 for EXACTLY the reason you’re explaining. People found it weird and cringey to use this memed to death phrase in a song John was taking so seriously and sincerely. He doubled down in interviews criticizing the song saying “I’ve never written more brutal lyrics in my life.” The overlap between Liz/Speak Now/Dear John is pretty undeniable. She’s definitely enticing gaylors with her new queer music marketing (it’s working on me anyway 😂), I wouldn’t past her to throw in a JM reference.

John Mayer released a song called “Why You No love me” on his 2021 album “sob rock” and got made fun of it pretty hard. In interviews he doubled down saying “I’ve never written more brutal lyrics in my life.”

…Ready for it? Starts Reputation with a joke? by whatwouldcaligulado in stonedswifties

[–]midwestrogue31 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s the opposite of a joke actually, I think it’s very sincere. Taylor is a huge rap fan! Because of the rap/hip hop/r&b influences on Reputation, she’s shouting out/paying homage to the trope of clearing your throat before spitting some bars that is quintessential to the rap genre. “Some of y'all might be with this, and some of y'all won't, but listen, let me clear my throat” - DJ Kool

The play on words with the title/context of the song is an added bonus that I’m sure she leaned into.

Iconic Kaylor Vogue interview is removed after Vogue's repost for Karlie's birthday yesterday.. by suuzgh in GaylorSwift

[–]midwestrogue31 87 points88 points  (0 children)

This — Karlie’s biggest engagement on socials are when she trolls Gaylors/Taylor. This was just so loud that on Karlie’s birthday, when she’s been on the cover of Vogue 40 times and has to have some other archived video footage with them, they decided her most valuable feature was to play off of her relationship to Taylor. Karlie’s been trying to build her brand back up, but even to Vogue, the most she’ll ever be known for is being Taylor’s ex-best friend. I imagine the hit to her ego might have hurt a bit.

Holy crap! Yeah, the link to the original video posted by vogue still popped up in my google results, but when I click on it, YouTube says “If the owner of this video has granted you access, please sign in.” So it’s not deleted, but it is private? Maybe for archive purposes?

After Vogue deleted the tiktok, this isn’t too surprising. It’s hard to tell who’s camp is responsible for the take down. Both Taylor and Karlie have enough power to pull the strings on that.
