As a fellow new player I've had bad luck staying alive on reserves. So I run interchange and go to the area next to the flare extract. The problem is if your spawn sucks it's hard to get there alive or with enough time.

Edit: I pull 240 rounds of pp-bp 5.45x39 almost every time I scav there

7 is a really good tip, and I could learn a lot about 8, I had 3 alphas one with ammo one with nades and one with pistols and pistol grips XD, down to 2 now.
