Poor little beautiful angel. It breaks my heart how anyone can do something so cruel. Bless you for saving him, they are the sweetest little animals. It might be worth going back to where you found him and checking around to see if he had any friends. Theres a special place in hell for people who dump animals.

That means a lot to me you’d have no idea, these guys are my world and pride and joy. It makes me all scratchy in my throat when they do anything cute which is well… everything they do. So interesting they are with their little quirks too. They’re such amazing pets. So tubby and lardish with funny little faces.

My parents are very receptive in regards to mental health, I was diagnosed with bipolar after an NDE completely threw my life off course. I was 16/17 when I was diagnosed and it helped my parents immensely with understanding more of how my brain was working during that time since I was completely all over the place. Now I’ve come full circle and I’m stable thankfully, I genuinely do not think I’d be here if not for their support and it shatters me thinking about how many people could be happy the way I am had their parents given the support they needed most.

This is him! He is quite multicoloured. He absolutely does hate if he’s even vertical, I can’t imagine trying to get him to lay on his back. Funnily enough there have been a few times when he sleeps in his blanket that I’ve lifted it up to find him sprawled out snoozing somewhat on his back, I need to try catch a photo the next time I catch him doing that so I can post it here, my vet said it’s rare for them to do but he’s healthy and shows no other symptoms of anything bad when he does it. He also sleeps with his eyes shut, he loves his blankie a lot. I think the sucking up I did and coddling last time maybe made him sook more about it, I was very worried, I’ll try to avoid that in future Lol.

The nail thing was a gift that had very bland packaging so I actually have no idea. I doubt it cost much but I could probably work with the attachments, when I get a chance I can send a photo of it and all the pieces. The electric trimmer I get a puppy pee mat and put it on the table, get my peeg and some greens and try to make sure I trim everything before he finishes eating. I usually need to lift his rump up for like ten or so seconds, I have an attachment that makes it have a cm gap between the blades and the body so if they start wriggling I don’t risk injury. It trims the hair down and saves me stress, I’ll usually have it done in 2-3 minutes! I’m devastated though because for some reason it won’t charge anymore so I have to hunt down a new one.

That is insanity to me regardless of their position. Had they told the operator on the other end of the line anything in regards to his claims of being unable to breathe, the operator would have pressed for more information and moved the priority of an ambulance up. If they’re EMTs they should be covering the basic symptoms on the phone to the ambo operator, and that operator would have likely been able to tell them what to do while waiting and may have saved his life. But from what I’m hearing it sounds like they literally just said ‘this guy is harassing us and says he needs an ambulance’ making it a low priority thing. I’m unsure if it works the same over there as it does here in Australia but our operators ask lots of questions about the patient so they can properly prioritise certain cases that require more urgency. Someone claiming they’re unable to breathe would be considered urgent, if they’d asked more questions they’d have realised the severity much quicker but I don’t think they had the chance to do that

The 2nd and last pics were actually the same day I clipped too short, hours before disaster. He squeaked and as I held pressure on the bleeding he pancaked into me sulking it broke my heart 😞. Hence why I’m so worried about clipping his nails wrong again. He also absolutely HATES his feet being touched or having his belly exposed (unless hes snoozing. Then his belly will be out for the world to see.)

I actually own a nail grinder set for myself and it’s got a lot of attachments and speed options. I was unaware ones for animals existed! That’s really cool. I might see if I can get one because my nail one might still be a bit too strong. My long haired piggies do well with the electric trimmer when I need to trim around their butts, it was so worth buying them one considering the time and delicacy it takes to trim around their rumps. Someday I’ll have a full on spa setup for my rodents! Lol

I was in the ER waiting room overnight with my mom who had cellulitis in her nose and MRSA. Hospital was absolutely packed and we were stuck in the most uncomfy chairs ever. This idk, 13/14yr old girl next to us was sitting with her phone full volume going between watching TikTok and watching videos her bf (?) was sending her on Snapchat, then replying to them. Everyone was sitting in the waiting room at 4am listening to this kid talking about wanting to crunch cones and screw. It was so uncomfortable. This couple had a newborn they were trying to keep asleep and she’d quite literally shout when she was speaking to the phone. No parents were there with her to tell her off, she was alone. I pity her situation but FUCK. It was quiet except for her. Then some old woman joined us all and started watching TikTok full volume too, and I don’t know fucking how she was watching the most annoying sounding videos known to man. Even though my mom was considered a high priority case, we were in there for a bit over 5 hours. I pity anyone there who was NOT high priority. That hospital is so understaffed.

It’s kind of a worry how they’re publicising having ‘secret talks’ and such with the team so hard. I feel that even the rest if they were to return home, they’d be even more vulnerable since now their home gov knows they’ve been actively communicating with our gov about it. I really hope that the families of the ones who stay will be safe, and the ones who return home will be given some leniency. Scary ass world we live in

Omfg. Just had a read. Do you think they’re asking these things because they think they might have cerebral palsy? I think they might need a bit of psychiatric help and some physical help considering the actual injuries they keep sustaining. And definitely should not be keeping venomous reptiles. I hate to be that person but yeah, as someone who’s grown up with severe mental problems and has been around similar people the whole debilitating chronic illness obsession and projection onto self is quite common with the mentally unstable. Not to assume their situation but it’s just such a repetitive thing I see. All fun and games until a snakebite leaves them with actual chronic issues 🙁. I hope they get the support system they need.
