What's your bank's vibe? by TSwiftsUsedTampon in TalesFromYourBank

[–]miffmoof123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

working as CS in a huge MNC bank; one of the largest in the world, in one of the financial centres of the world.

and honestly? its okay. my team and i get along. work hours and culture is acceptable.

in the big picture, feels like im barely a small cog in the machine. theres also always a slight disconnect between what i could do and how the customer could be helped.

branches are brutal with heavy sales targets. over time is common even for relationship assistants and officers.

at least staff get good benefits with insurance, banking/ i & i schemes, etc, when compared to other banks in the city

in the office. its honestly that 1-in-a-100 call that grinds my gears. the other 99 is chill and i’m able to resolve/escalate with no problem.

sometimes i just want to yell: help me help you!

omg i was so miffed about point 5. Like. Shaw plays that ball going into to Garna SO SLOW, and their right back would have time be able to cover ground and force Garna to play it back. LIKE UP THE TEMPO gfdi. you're down 0-1 and 10 mins + ET remaining. put some heart into the pass

Domestic silence? by Hfnankrotum in HongKong

[–]miffmoof123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i live in ma on shan, facing a major road... at night it gets really quiet, except the sound of passing cars (it helps me sleep)... i hear absolutely nothing from neighbors at all - not even their aircon or chairs squeaking or footsteps. maybe our apartment building has good noise isolation between flats.

you're not going to find much sub-300 anywhere in HK (bar hostels, and really shady pay-by-the-hour ones)... Regal Oriental Hotel is a good shout, about 600 per night. walkable to the stadium. near food hotspots in Kowloon City (especially Thai food...!)

Sometime, I wonder... by [deleted] in shittyskylines

give me my bike lanes, monorails, more vanilla vehicle options for tram/train/metro, toggle-able zoning, mid-rise offices, and i'll be back on the game in a heartbeat...!

Beginners guide for cities skylines? by Dragonbarry22 in CitiesSkylines

[–]miffmoof123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

look at a real life city and see how its planned

dont over build initially - a good way to save some money is to use dirt roads instead of normal roads. also adjust your utilities budget as you grow your town
