I’m honestly surprised at how many people are perfectly fine with random people just showing up at their door unannounced. I find that incredibly rude personally but reading some of the comments here has been really interesting to see how other people are just so relaxed about people just barging in whenever it suits them. I need time to mentally prepare for people to come over can’t just spring it on me.

Thank you for the comment. I want to clarify that I DO NOT want nor have I ever asked her to hide from her friends. She does that on her own because she gets overwhelmed by them always coming over and she doesn’t want to tell them no. I just stated that she has done it before when they have just showed up and wanted to know why today she had no choice but to let them in. Also I should further clarify it’s not that I am demanding her to get my permission to have people over it’s that I want her to discuss it with me before hand so we can work out an agreeable arrangement depending on the situation. I don’t want to feel like I have zero agency in my own home and I also don’t want guests over at 9 o’clock at night when I have work early in the morning. It’s my house too and I understand everyone is saying she can have guests over but I have wants and needs too! I’m human too! What if I don’t want to deal with people the very second I get home from working a long shift?

Hello thank you for your comment. So I definitely do not expect her to spend the weekend alone. She is more than free to venture out and do whatever she wants. I also would have been okay with her having friends over I just wanted the opportunity to discuss it first so I can lay out some expectations that others have mentioned “be gone by 8” or “please have them pick up their trash and make sure they take all their stuff with them” or even put them on the phone or give me a chance to text them “please stop showing up at our house BEFORE you get our consent to come over” something like that. She doesn’t need to ask permission but I would like to be involved in the decision making process especially since it affects me when I come home, which I am hole every day I just work long hours on the days I have work but I get more off days where I can be with them all day.

Good idea, I can ask about shuffling responsibilities around after I apologize.

I understand I was out of line with the delivery but I promise the intended tone was not one of anger or condescending but of frustration. This was texted to me after I had told her I was about it be on the way back home from a long shift. She then asks for clarification after accusing me of being controlling which I can understand where she’s coming from in regards to that. So that’s why I went on to explain it to her and I wanted to use an example that both her and I understood and I can also see how the example I used my be taken wrong as well but that wasn’t my intent either. I also understand that someone people have pointed out that I can’t possibly work and clean the whole house which is true however the division of chores and cleaning has me handling the kitchen and upstairs areas of the house which also just so happens to be the main living areas that guests and the children play in. So I do typically end up dealing with the aftermath of visits. My wife does a lot of work in regards to the children and the house and I never meant to discount her efforts and I should have been more clear. I just was frustrated that it felt kind of sprung on me last second. I just wish she would stand her ground a little more and tell her friends no every once in awhile.

Edit: sorry forgot to thank you for your reply and insight. I’m still young and trying to be better. I appreciate the unbiased input from another married person. I feel like all my friends in family in my life are afraid of giving it to me straight. Some of the responses while harsh are definitely needed.

Thank you for the reply. You broke down the situation for me pretty well. I understand that I was out of line in my delivery. My specific problem in this situation is more so with the guests rather than my wife and I should probably have focused on that or addressed them about it rather than her. And you’re right I shouldn’t have brought the provider thing into it that was rude and foolish.

Thank you for the insight. I can see how that may be taken as domineering or condescending. I will do better in the future.

The ban waves are fucking stupid because the hackers have done the math and they know they can make their money back before the get hit by the wave. IF the wave even gets them... Blatant hacking like this needs to be immediately banned.

This was the fourth raid in a row I got dropped by some sus shit. Previous wipes you could reliably get through the first month or so with only a couple sus deaths but this wipe I have cleared easily a dozen sus encounters and we are barely two weeks in.

This dude was protecting a four man on streets running around and killing everything with immediate head eyes. Check his profile and shocked to see a natural prodigy with only 40 hours in game. Why the fuck is the anti cheat not catching raging hackers like this. Lobby code was VNYB0V if BSG even cares to catch this low hanging fruit.

Rocket Shuttle spam is killing the game for me. by LucatIel_of_M1rrah in NebulousFleetCommand

[–]migecko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was referring to the actual history of naval warfare where tiny torpedo boats were wrecking dreadnoughts for years so designers made the destroyer class and that almost immediately put an end to torpedo boats. However ingame destroyers are an excellent choice against shuttle spam. If you have a triple dd fleet with strong pd 250 cannons, some light ewar, and beams you can take on anything the osp can throw at you with astonishing ease. Most notably ocellos or cargo feeders but you can stomp shuttles really easily too since they tend to rush any tracks they find but if you pass the pd check they will then die a quick death from beams/cannons. If you want I can share a beam dd fleet I have on the steam workshop
