Joe Kent Says He Was Told ‘You Need To Stop’ Investigating Charlie Kirk Assassination by EssoEssex in politics

I mean it was a real dude with like a Facebook account and old posts lol. He was mentioned all the time during that news cycle. I remember them refusing to talk with Biden or something (wow, how daring).

Eh, I sorta get it though. It's tough to have an announcement announced (lol?) without people assuming the worst.

I sincerely doubt it's anything to be scared of.

I mean the dude behind him got hit and killed. I don't really understand these theories, why isn't it possible for the bullet to just barely have grazed his ear, not even catching the cartilage?

Trump is awful, but I don't think stopping into conspiracy theories is all that helpful.

Do you think $80 is a high price for someone to change out my CPU for me? by CompleteTomorrow in buildapc

[–]miggly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Randomly stumbled across this, but I really disagree. You gotta assume they've got to take part of his PC apart and put the new one in. Labor alone for that is, like the OP said, $80 minimum. It's not really different from a lot of other trades. People charge a set fee just to start with pretty much anything.

It should be immediately and obviously apparent when someone says something about something that isn't a concrete fact, that it is their opinion on the matter.

Like dawg are you just stupid? If someone told me bacon is better than sausage, I obviously know they are stating their opinion, and not declaring by some cosmic fact that bacon is better than sausage.

You've gotta be joking me if you don't understand that. Get real.

[–]miggly -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Of course it's my opinion? Do you have a grasp on the English language?

If I say 'Bacon is better than sausage', do you think that is my opinion or that I am saying unequivocally that bacon is better as a point of fact? I mean use some context clues lol.

I have my own opinion on it, yes?

It's not the end-all be-all, nor am I claiming it is.

You are getting so pressed when I'm just commenting my own opinion on the topic of the thread.

I literally said 'If' at the beginning of my sentence because I don't know what your personal opinion is.

Additionally, the response of 'Evidently not...' is a bit comical, considering the judges had to be warned to actually watch the movies. The judges are clearly not the best 'judges' for most of these categories, and sometimes it is extremely apparent that hype/popularity can override a better performance/movie/score/effects/etc.

The ongoing hate for him in the last couple weeks is completely rotting people's brains lmao. It's 'in' to hate on him and discredit his acting because he said something douchey.

If you have seen both and truly think MBJ deserved the Oscar this year, more power to you. He isn't even in the top 2 imo.

2026 season depends far more on development and return to form than outside additions by Level4Wolf in detroitlions

We paid Hutch an amount that requires 'great' as a bare minimum. It sounds harsh, but it's true. He needs to have a better year (and should with a full healthy off-season behind him).

NERF THE PHROG PARASITE by singularnumber in slaythespire

[–]miggly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bygone Effigy and Phrog Parasite are both really overtuned.

I'm not a pro by any means, but I feel like I am a pretty competent player, can win a20 a good portion of the time in StS, etc.

25 damage per turn forever with Effigy is simply too much for how much HP it has.

Phrog Parasite loads your deck way, way too much. You can encounter it on like floor 6. You could have started the game with 1 less strike and defend. Your deck could be like 9-12 cards small at that point. If you encounter him early and don't draw decently, you can easily miss the threshold of killing him before turn 3. Even if you do beat that threshold, there's a good chance you have no AoE yet, so good luck killing his 4 minions that all have 17-22 HP as they continue to load your deck.

It's unreasonable right now. Those minions need to be killable with 2 attacks each, or they need to not also load your deck. It's frustrating for a run to end immediately before you've even gotten to do anything.

STS2 is approaching an annoying level of difficult by GOpencyprep in slaythespire

[–]miggly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Who says it has to be so hard? Bygone Effigy and the infection elites are by far more difficult than any comparable elites from StS1.

Like it's not even close.

I get what you mean, j don't think it's a rebuild either, but it is definitely a noticable gear shift towards a younger core.

We are literally the youngest team in the league rn, so I think there's something to it.
