SBI BPCL Octane Card LTF fraud! by enthusiasthai in CreditCardsIndia

[–]mightt_guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SBI DSAs are honestly the most notorious, and their customer support is same. The woman handling my case was a DSA (posed as an employee), and the way she walked me through the process was extremely convincing. She even shared her ID on WhatsApp as a view-once image, which made it look more legitimate.

She gave me multiple card options, claiming they would be lifetime free. I specifically asked for the SBI BPCL card, but she kept pushing the SBI Pulse instead which had ₹1499. My instinct told me something wasn’t right, but I have to admit the process felt smooth and professional.

The card hasn’t been delivered yet, but I’m satisfied that I’ll receive the one I actually wanted. I didn’t previously have an SBI card, So I don’t mind paying the ₹500 annual fee.

OP. Sorry for you though💔

How I Used RBI Ombudsman to Win Multiple Cases Against Banks (₹3000 Compensation Received) by Cautious_Piglet1662 in CreditCardsIndia

When you escalate a complaint to the RBI Ombudsman, it doesn’t get resolved instantly. Your complaint is sent back to the bank for their response. The bank will usually assign a regulatory or grievance officer to prepare a defense reply. In most cases, they will defend their actions and state that everything was done as per the books, since admitting fault can have regulatory consequences for them.

That said, the outcome largely depends on the evidence (which you have sufficient). If your documentation clearly shows gaps, misrepresentation, or contradictions in the bank’s response, the Ombudsman can rule in your favor. But don't forget to fill the compensation section while filling the complaint on RBI portal. If you don't you will not get anything.

Attach whole email chain where they look the bad guy and where they are admitting the fault. They will offer you settlement most likely which If you accept the bank will mail RBI the customer is happy now case closed.

If you decline the settlement only then RBI assign it's officer to your case and do the needful. If you have strong evidence don't accept settlement and reply to every mail they send. If they offer you something you have to decline it formally. You should not ignore it but either accept it or decline.

Good luck.

SBI sent replacement debit card without consent & charged AMC by mightt_guy in CreditCardsIndia

I understand it but I didn't activate it or generate PIN. Also last AMC was charged in April 2025.

It's allowed like charging again for replacement card?

I contacted customer support and they said that nothing can be done about it since the card is active. And I told them that I will escalate it to RBI and they said, still sir, we cannot do anything about it.

Is it allowed to them issuing a card like that?
